We received an eerily similar call, claiming to be from Speak Talk. They asked for our postcode and insisted that we were paying £26 a month. When we mentioned that our rate was actually £23, they abruptly hung up the call on us. Quite peculiar, really!

I keep receiving calls around six in the evening, and as soon as I pick up, there’s just silence on the other end. It’s utterly ridiculous-who doesn't keep their phone charged these days? I've had enough of these pointless calls! It's really quite frustrating and I shouldn't have to tolerate this nonsense!

Received a call from this number earlier on. Usually, we don't pick up on our home phone since it's generally just salespeople trying their luck, and honestly, we can't be bothered with that nonsense. What's even more irritating is when these callers hang up as soon as we answer; it's flummoxing, to say the least, as we have that line for a purpose! I received a rather peculiar phone call from someone claiming to be with Speak Speak, but it took a good fifteen minutes for them to actually say anything of substance. They started rambling on about how they could help us save on our phone bills, boldly stating that we typically shell out around £26 a week. Naturally, I politely corrected them, letting them know we only pay £18. After that, they abruptly hung up on me! It’s hard to believe this was a legitimate representative from Speak Speak. If that's how they operate, then perhaps it's time for Speak Speak to reassess their approach!

It was evident that they were merely reading from a script. I kept engaging them in meaningless chatter, then eventually let them know that we were just wasting their time. My aim was to deter them from reaching out to others who might be gullible enough to fall for their schemes. Unsurprisingly, they became quite annoyed during a couple of the exchanges.

We received a call from some individuals claiming to be associated with Speak Talk, asking for a quick five minutes of our time. They wanted our postcode, the first line of our address, and our date of birth. Shortly after we shared this information, they abruptly hung up. I reported this to Speak Talk, but they informed me they had no record of such a call. There seemed to be little concern on their part. When we reached out to the local police, their advice was to contact the number back for identification. It feels as if no one is really taking this matter seriously.

On 20th May 2010 at half past one, we received a call from 0800 988 6018. The caller had an unusual accent and asked to speak with me, addressing me by my full name. I responded with "Hello, speaking," but there was a brief silence before they abruptly hung up. Strangely enough, we're already on TalkTalk with two accounts! It would have been rather helpful if that person had actually been able to offer us some savings instead.
