Debt-free in just one day? Really? We're a bit sceptical about that! Makes us wonder if you're associated with these claims in some way.

What a group of bothersome nuisances they are!

I’m so relieved we decided to give this company a ring! The people on the line were not only exceptionally professional but also a delight to chat with. We're practically living debt-free now!

We've just ended the call with those blokes! I've never lodged any claims for anything at all. I'm absolutely fed up with these persistent cold callers!

It appears that Claim Credit Services Limited, which operates under the moniker CSS Advice, has been reaching out to numerous individuals across the UK concerning their claims services. This isn’t their initial run-in with scrutiny, as they faced license suspension back in 2011. They profess to be able to eliminate debts while cold-calling unsuspecting individuals. However, a significant number of those contacted may not even qualify for these services, yet they could still incur charges for any credit assessments conducted.

I paid an upfront fee to a company called Claim Credit Services, thinking I might be owed a refund for a mis-sold mortgage. I had a chat over the phone with a guy named Mike Webb, who spoke Welsh and seemed quite genuine. I ended up making two payments with my Barclaycard, which he said would cover the work they'd do. But a whole year has passed and nothing has been sorted. When I tried calling their Swansea office, they weren’t happy and just told me to email instead. Now the company has gone into liquidation and I feel proper naive for falling for their promises. I’m planning to try and get my money back through Barclays. Hopefully, no one else has to go through this. Watch out!

They have been ringing me non stop for the last week! I asked them nicely the second time to remove my number, but they just keep calling. Honestly, it feels like harassment now.

Since I got my Orange phone line, I’ve been getting calls pretty much every day. It’s always the same company asking for some other person. I’ve told every caller that they’ve got the wrong number and asked them to take me off their list. Still, over the last six months, they’ve phoned me 142 times and nothing seems to make them stop. Got a call from this number asking to speak with my other half. When I asked who was calling, the person was a bit hesitant at first but eventually said they were from CCS. They claimed we might have been sold a mortgage wrongly and offered to help us make a claim. They already had our address linked to the mortgage, which caught me off guard. But when they started asking about monthly payments and the mortgage term, I didn't want to share any details. Curious, I asked how they got our info, and they said they have access to the mortgage lenders’ database and supposedly work with the Ministry of Justice (claimsregulation.gov.uk - Registration Key: CRM14826). They also mentioned more details could be found at ccsadvice.com and even sent an email to back this up. I was told to look into the company as they'll call back soon. Apparently, they can only keep my info for 24 hours, which seems a bit suspect. When they call again, I’ll have a few critical questions lined up!

So this firm called CCS kept ringing my landline over a few years, asking about who handles our mortgage. They claimed we’d been sold the wrong kind of mortgage and that we were owed £19,000! But to even look into it, they wanted us to cough up £495 plus VAT, and on top of that, a 10% cut of the money they said was owed - around £1900. They pushed for the payment to go on a credit card, but when I said we don’t use those, the guy got a bit annoyed and then said maybe use the debit card instead. He kept saying it was just a ‘small’ fee to unlock the cash we deserved. I was pretty clear I wasn’t doing anything by phone or online. When he asked for my husband, he also refused. The caller said he’d ring on Monday so we could think it over at the weekend. After looking up CCS online and reading other people’s stories, I’ve reported them to Trading Standards. Honestly, I was almost fooled for a moment!
