Got two texts from some number thanking me for confirming my account security. They said to call back if it wasn’t me, but I never did that. Pretty weird if you ask me.

I got a text saying my account had been used and telling me to ring a certain number. I’m a bit unsure about calling it, so I might just pop into a local branch to check what’s going on instead.

Got a call from someone saying they were from EE, talking about my contract - but I don’t even have one with them! Then she just said goodbye… sounded like she was in the loo or something. Strange.

Got a call from a lady who sounded like she was in a loo or summat. She claimed to be ringing from EE and asked if I had a contract with them. I replied, "You decide," and she just cut off straight away.

Today, 29/10/2024, I got a ring from 0800 956 6000 saying they were with EE. The lady on the line sounded like she was somewhere noisy, maybe a loo or something. I acted like I couldn’t catch what she was saying, and then out of nowhere she snapped, “Oh SHUT UP.” Proper rude and definitely a SCAM. Don’t share any details with them and make sure to block 0800 956 6000 straight away.

Never got a voicemail or anything. It always feels dodgy and I doubt the call’s legit. The reviews I’ve seen here really help though.

I’m telling you, this isn’t EE at all. They’re pretty sneaky but something just didn’t feel right. They let me google their number quite quickly to prove it was EE, which seemed strange to me. So, I checked here before anything else and noticed loads of similar reviews. Except for one review that kinda looks like it might belong to someone involved in the scam, if you ask me.

I’ve just contacted EE to double check and they assured me this is a legit number used by their sales team. So, no worries, it isn’t a scam. Thought I’d share in case anyone else was unsure!

Got a call from someone claiming to be from EE, offering a cheap SIM and a Samsung phone deal. I played along, thinking it was one of those Indian call centre scammers asking for my bank info. I gave him a piece of my mind, and then he rang back threatening to block my phone in a couple of days. Proper dodgy, so watch out!

I got a call from 0800 956 6000, supposedly EE’s sales team, but it was a total scam. It’s crazy how they’re using the exact same number, I didn't expect that. They promised an iPhone 14 Pro for £50 a month and 1TB storage, yeah right, as if I’m daft! They asked loads of personal stuff, like my bank name and account password. The bloke even called me by my first name, which you never get with proper companies. Still, I did give them my mobile number... 0121doone.

Got a call showing EE on the caller ID, said it was about an upgrade. They asked for a code to verify and then put through an order on my EE account. Later, I got a text from DPD about the delivery, but the scammers tried to ring DPD and switch the delivery address. Luckily, I managed to get in touch with DPD and cancel the delivery. Then I called EE to report what happened. Real close call!

Somebody called claiming to be from the EE security team and said there was a request for a new SIM on my account. I said I hadn’t asked for that. Then he said he would send me a text and needed me to give him the pin code. I refused because he couldn’t verify he was really with EE, and the message looked suspicious. He got quite annoyed and threatened to block my phone. I hung up and dialed 150 to check. The people there confirmed he was a scammer and mentioned loads of others had reported the same thing today.
