Got a call from UK Legal Services, they said my info was sent to them since I showed interest in a Will. Told the lady I never actually asked about it. She wanted to post me a letter, but I told her I already sorted my Will out. She asked if it was recent, said yes, then she goes "that's why our records aren't up to date!" What a load of rubbish! Properly annoyed 😡

The woman sounded quite polite, suggesting I’d asked about making a will. I asked her where she’d got the details from but didn’t quite catch what she said. I told her I’d never made any enquiries and had just gone directly to a solicitor when I decided to sort it out a while back. I advised her to find her information somewhere else. Saw that the earlier reports were ages ago. Have they been quiet for a bit before kicking off again? I’m on the TPS, so it’s really quite frustrating.

Just got a call from some outfit pushing will writing services - they reckoned I wanted to update mine. I said no and that my number was unlisted. When I asked where they got my number from, they claimed it was from a survey I’d done. Asked which survey specifically and they just hung up. Got a call from 08009540184 and my missus answered, thinking it might be a mate trying to catch us before we headed out. Turns out, the caller at 08:45 on 30th April 2018 asked if she’d made a will. She told them that’s private info and she doesn’t share that with strangers. Ended the call straight away. Just thought I’d share this so others know what sort of rubbish calls we get. Calling before 9 in the morning? Totally not on unless it’s a close mate.

This morning, on the 30th of April 2018, my spouse picked up the phone at 08:45. A caller inquired if she had recently made a will. To this, my wife firmly responded that it is a personal matter and she does not disclose such information, particularly to someone she is not acquainted with. Following this reply, she promptly ended the call. It's quite surprising to receive a call before 9 am; one would assume it was a friend trying to catch up before embarking on their daily routine.

Got a call at 8.45am on Monday, 30 April 2018, and my wife assumed it was a mate ringing before we headed out for the day. But no, the person on the other end asked if she had sorted her will out. She immediately said that was private and she’s not going to tell a stranger that kinda stuff. Then she just ended the call. Really annoying, especially so early in the morning, and they didnt even bother to say who they were first.

They rang yesterday and spoke to my husband, saying that I'd asked about making a will, even though they never asked for me. He told them I wasn't in. When he told me, I said I hadn't enquired at all since we've already got one sorted. He said he did find that a bit odd. What's happened to data protection? This number belongs to dig but the call actually comes from some dodgy place in bangalore. They completely ignore TPS and won’t take your number off even after you’ve asked three times. Give them a bell on their Watford line, 01923 281700, and warn them about legal action. Samantaha Pocock is the compliance manager supposedly, but she claims she hasn’t a clue how they got your number in the first place. So dig, if you’re listening, be brave and reply here. I've been inundated with calls from this number, and it's utterly absurd! We're on the ex-directory list and registered with the Telephone Preference Service, yet they persist in ringing us-sometimes multiple times a day! It's been three weeks of relentless attempts, and today has been particularly frustrating with three calls already. We’ve chosen not to pick up, but clearly, they're not taking the hint. At this rate, I think we’ll have to look into getting a proper call blocker to put an end to this nonsense. - Caller: 08009540184

By Samuel 4 weeks ago Since it was an 0800 number, I thought it wise to ring them back. I ended up with a recorded message directing me to another number, 08000526871, so I gave that a go as well. Surprise, surprise, another recorded spiel! It did, however, give me the chance to leave my name, number, and postcode to be removed from their lists. I left my number but opted out of sharing my address, requesting them to stop disturbing me. Should they persist in their calls, I shall simply ring them back whenever I'm feeling a bit cheeky and leave a message along the lines of 'Greetings, yet another unsolicited call, cheerio!' The company behind this is known as Consumer Lifestyles DLG, and a quick search online reveals quite a bit about them.

I just received a call from these individuals a little while ago, and to my astonishment, they left me with this peculiar voicemail: "Oh dear, not again." I believe the person leaving the message was quite frustrated by encountering my answering machine. My guidance to them would be that if they aren't planning to leave a message, then it's best not to call at all. I prefer not to be impolite or confrontational when speaking with individuals who are just trying to earn a living, but these calls are gradually wearing thin on my patience. I am actually registered with TPS, and nowadays, I don't receive many unsolicited calls; however, occasionally one slips through the cracks.

Because it's a toll-free number, I decided to return the call. However, when I called, I received a recorded message providing me with a different number, which was 08000526871. I dialed this new number and, surprise surprise, encountered yet another automated message. This time, though, the message offered the option to leave my name, number, and postcode if I wished to be removed from their database. I decided to leave my number but not my address and specifically requested to be taken off their list and not be bothered again. If they persist in calling me, I plan on calling them back whenever I have some free time and leaving a message along the lines of "Hello, just another one of those nuisance calls. Goodbye." The company responsible for these unwanted calls is known as Consumer Lifestyles DLG, and if you search for them on Google, there is plenty of information available.

Seeing as this was a freephone number (0800), I decided to ring them back. A recorded voice greeted me and gave me another number to call: 08000526871. Naturally, I gave that a whirl as well. Unsurprisingly, it was yet another recorded message, but this time I was offered the chance to supply my name, number, and postcode to have my details removed from their list. I left my number but opted out of providing my address and requested to be taken off their list, hoping they’d leave me in peace. If they persist with the unsolicited calls, I'll just keep calling back whenever I feel like it and leave messages like, "Hello, here’s another bothersome call, cheerio!" The outfit is called Consumer Lifestyles DLG, and if you do a quick search, you’ll uncover a wealth of information about them.

I had a rather civil conversation with a gentleman who rang me. However, as soon as I mentioned that I wasn't keen on proceeding, he promptly wrapped it up. Just to note, I'm registered with the TPS. Any idea who he was, and do you think they could face a fine for this?

Received a phone call from the specified number, wherein the gentleman was aware of my last name and requested confirmation. He then proceeded to inform me that I had apparently made a request for advice on creating a will. The entire claim seemed quite illogical, so I abruptly terminated the call. It is worth noting that I am registered with TPS, which makes it puzzling how they acquired both my telephone number and surname. Subsequently, I have decided to keep my phone disconnected most of the time. However, yesterday I placed an order for a reasonably priced sandwich toaster from Argos and today, in order to receive the delivery, I plugged it in. Unfortunately, shortly thereafter, I received a phone call from the aforementioned individual.

I received a rather curious phone call from a lady sharing my name, inquiring about setting up a Will. When I pressed her on how she got my number, she casually mentioned it might’ve been from a tick box on a form. She expressed a desire to send me some information, though we didn't even touch on my address. She then apologised for being a nuisance and promised to remove me from her list-what list, I wonder? And who are these people? What tick box was she referring to? Quite the mystery! Honestly, it's baffling what one can safely disclose these days. It feels like even a mere knock at the door could lead to trouble! With the rise of unwanted calls, it seems many companies simply refuse to keep up with the times, while politicians have left us vulnerable to aggressive capitalists and their schemes. The situation feels dire, and I dread to think we’re on the brink of conflict again. The posh accent on the other end of the line was just as off-putting as any bailiff or TV licence inspector. One can hardly trust anyone now; if they’re wearing a uniform, it may help, but the only one I recognise is the postman-who mostly brings junk! And let’s not forget the leaflet droppers. It’s a worrying trend, and I fear someone’s bound to get hurt if this continues, especially as the spectre of warfare looms ahead. It’s outrageous that we’re not free from harassment, especially considering things like Carol singing have been banned. The BBC, with its four channels-two of which don’t even operate until the evening-could certainly be more innovative with advertising instead of bleeding us dry. It’s infuriating to think that our hard-earned money has gone to fund the likes of Jim Savile, and a refund would be more appropriate than this constant griping about television licence fees! Meanwhile, in the United States, one can enjoy many of the same services for free. It seems none dare challenge politicians on these issues anymore, as their days of knocking on doors and discussing matters with the people have come to an end. There’s no accountability for massive corporations as they trample human rights and engage in relentless harassment through cold calls and junk mail. It’s a harrowing experience to answer an unknown number, constantly worrying about safety here in the UK. The very individuals entrusted to govern often shift their responsibilities onto those who are ill-equipped to handle them, exploiting laws to swell their own coffers. We’re left with concerns about our finances as the pressure of modern-day living weighs heavily upon us. It’s a bit like the plight of a steelworker-struggling against all odds through no fault of their own, only to find democracy has turned parasitic, targeting those already beset with troubles. Each cold call feels like a service designed to profit off our vulnerability, camouflaged by faceless voices that could very well be criminals. Instead of leveraging their resources to create genuine revenue, they prey on the unsuspecting, especially the elderly and those with little to their name. It’s high time we put an end to this cycle of exploitation and harassment. Caller ID: 08009540184

I received a call from this number recently, but it was meant for someone who hasn't owned it for quite some time (I got this new line around five years back). The caller was rather unpleasant and cut me off just as I was requesting to be taken off their list - the number was 08009540184. Awful experience!

I've received a few calls from this particular number lately. The person on the line keeps asking for someone with a completely different name. When I inform them that they have the wrong number, they persist by saying, "But isn't this [insert incorrect address]?" It seems like they are attempting to trick me into divulging my actual address.

Received a call this morning from a number claiming I had inquired about amending my will. I clarified that we’ve sorted our wills through a well-respected legal professional, and there’s absolutely no chance I’d have made such a request. The individual on the other end suggested I might have filled out some sort of survey that triggered their call. It seems they’re fishing for information from surveys and other sources before cold calling unsuspecting folks. I’m on the TPS list but it seems utterly meaningless, as demonstrated by this call and countless others. It’s all quite shady and definitely against the law, yet no action ever seems to be taken. The number was 0800954084.

I can't believe they had the audacity to ring me! I'm on the Telephone Preference Service list, just like a lot of others here have said about their relentless and cheeky calls. They keep pestering me about will-making... Honestly, they should be penalised! - Caller: 08009540184

I’m absolutely baffled by the brazenly rude cold call I just received. It’s as if common courtesy has gone out the window! What a nuisance!
