Got a call from UK Legal Services, they said my info was sent to them since I showed interest in a Will. Told the lady I never actually asked about it. She wanted to post me a letter, but I told her I already sorted my Will out. She asked if it was recent, said yes, then she goes "that's why our records aren't up to date!" What a load of rubbish! Properly annoyed 😡

Got a call from some will writing firm saying they already had my info after I supposedly asked them about their services. I never actually made any enquiry but since I am thinking about sorting a will I agreed to get a letter from them. Now to find out how often they bug me!

Tried to call me but hung up before I could pick up. Didn’t leave any message or nothing. Total bother.

Called on my mobile 20th March at 10:48 about making a will. The person was polite, I said I wasnt interested, they said sorry and ended the call.

Somebody rang my phone, I didnt pick up. They left no voicemail or anything. Bit annoying really.

She sounded really polite and friendly. I almost thought she was someone I knew when she said "hello, it’s Sue." But then she brought up a will, so I guessed it was one of those sales calls I didn’t want and just ended the call.

Got a call for Mrs ... who’s actually my mum! I told them they’ve got the wrong number and then the bloke, who spoke quite posh English, just hung up.

Wasnt shown on BT Call Guardian so think its probably a scam or a call centre. Ive gone ahead and blocked the number now.

Got a call at 7:15pm from an unknown number, so I just ignored it. After seeing what others have said, I’m really happy I didn’t pick up. Number’s blocked now.

Got a call from Caledonia around 7:30 in the evening, claiming it was a lifestyle consumer survey. No idea how they manage to get hold of ex-directory numbers or those on the TPS, it’s pointless basically cause their service is rubbish when u try and report them.

Just got a call from some outfit pushing will writing services - they reckoned I wanted to update mine. I said no and that my number was unlisted. When I asked where they got my number from, they claimed it was from a survey I’d done. Asked which survey specifically and they just hung up. Total cold call con - best to just block and forget about it.

Someone rang asking for my mum, and when I told them she wasn’t around, before I could even ask who it was, they snapped at me with “fine, call back tomorrow,” then just hung up. Honestly, she came across as really rude if you want my opinion.

Got a call from 08009540184 and my missus answered, thinking it might be a mate trying to catch us before we headed out. Turns out, the caller at 08:45 on 30th April 2018 asked if she’d made a will. She told them that’s private info and she doesn’t share that with strangers. Ended the call straight away. Just thought I’d share this so others know what sort of rubbish calls we get. Calling before 9 in the morning? Totally not on unless it’s a close mate.

Got a call at 8.45am on Monday, 30 April 2018, and my wife assumed it was a mate ringing before we headed out for the day. But no, the person on the other end asked if she had sorted her will out. She immediately said that was private and she’s not going to tell a stranger that kinda stuff. Then she just ended the call. Really annoying, especially so early in the morning, and they didnt even bother to say who they were first.

Today I received two calls from this number, both times they left a voicemail asking me to urgently ring a different number, claiming to be from HMRC. Oddly enough, they ended the message with, “have a blessed day”! Bit strange for a government warning if you ask me.

Got a call about making a will. Not quite sure if it was a scam or legit but since we've already got our wills sorted, it was just a no for us. They did say sorry for bothering though, so maybe they were genuine. Still, I’d never trust anyone who rings you out of the blue like that!

They rang yesterday and spoke to my husband, saying that I'd asked about making a will, even though they never asked for me. He told them I wasn't in. When he told me, I said I hadn't enquired at all since we've already got one sorted. He said he did find that a bit odd. What's happened to data protection? They shouldn’t have told my husband what the call was about in the first place. I’m actually looking forward to them calling again so I can have a word with them. I’ll be making it very clear what I think of their tactics.

I just keep my answerphone on 24/7 these days. Really no other option. Most of these scam wanks just cut off straight away. It does the job perfectly.

Got a call from a law firm asking for someone I’ve never heard of, claiming they’re connected to this address. Very weird!

They keep ringing me up asking for someone who doesnt even live here, sometimes like 4 or 5 times a week. I’ve had enough and just had to disconnect my phone, its getting out of hand!

Hey, just popping back, since we've been getting loads of the same calls after I last mentioned it. Honestly, the best thing you can do is just block the number and not answer!

Lately, they've rung us every single day for about three weeks, sometimes twice a day, and just today they called three times! We always ignore the calls but they just keep going. Got a call from a bloke in the UK who sounded quite polite. Once I told him I’m not into wills and mentioned I’m on the TPS list, he ended the call pretty fast. Just wondering who these people actually are and if they’re breaking the rules? Should they be fined or something?

Got a call from a woman claiming to be from a Will-writing service, using my name and number. When I asked how they got my details, she mentioned some sort of tick box, but I never gave an address or anything, so no idea what list they’re talking about. She promised to send info through the post but never asked for my address. She did say sorry and that they’d remove me from their list - but whose list? And how did my number get on it? These days, you just can’t trust who’s got your info. Even the TV Licence people seem sketchy - why should we have to answer strangers ringing up? Times have totally changed, yet some firms still won’t adapt. Politicians have left us exposed to profits-hungry companies, and honestly, it feels like we’re heading for disaster. Those posh accents on the phone are as bad as bailiffs or TV Licence inspectors turning up unexpectedly. Some pretend to be council workers, while others deliver to the wrong house or pretend to read energy meters. Wearing a uniform helps, but apart from the postman (who just brings junk mail and leaflets), nobody’s really trustworthy. With all the talk of conflict in the news, it’s only going to get worse. We can’t trust strangers, full stop. They’ve banned carol singing and Guy Fawkes pennies for safety, so why not ban this kind of harassment too? The BBC has four channels, yet two barely start until 7pm. Surely they could use them for advertising or raising awareness instead of constantly chasing people for money? Considering the scandals with people like Jim Savile, viewers deserve some kind of refund, not higher charges. And now there’s talk of charging for online viewing too - while in the US, it’s free! No one ever asks MPs about this stuff because no one knocks on doors or protests anymore. Big companies are trampling over our rights - cold calls, junk mail, bullying about payments - it’s frightening. Am I even safe living here? Can I leave my house without worry? It’s clear those in charge try to dodge responsibility and exploit the law for profit. Take people like factory workers struggling to keep going in tough times - democracy feels parasitic, sucking the life out of folks just to move on to the next victim. Cold calling should be stopped, especially from people offering services that rarely deliver unless they’re ripping you off. Just got a ring from this number, but it wasn’t for me - seems like the person they wanted stopped using this number ages ago (I only took it over about five years back). The caller was quite unpleasant and cut me off when I tried to tell them to take me off their list - number was 08009540184.

This number has phoned me twice so far, looking for someone with a name that’s nothing like mine. When I tell them they’ve got the wrong person, they keep pushing, saying "aren't you ..........?" and mention some address I’ve never come across. Feels like they're trying to trick me into giving them my details.

On 15th September 2016, a missed call appeared on my phone at exactly 12:37pm. I chose not to pick it up.

Basically, they’re just scooping info from surveys or other places and then cold calling people. I’m signed up with the TPS, but it’s pointless - this call and loads of others prove that.
