8 yearsThis number has been ringing me incessantly-first yesterday and then not once, but twice today! I’ve opted not to pick up, as I’m completely unfamiliar with it. My answering machine is always set to record, so if it’s something urgent, they can leave a message. However, the calls often hang up just before my machine springs into action. It makes me wonder if the caller is bombarding multiple lines and hoping to catch someone off guard. It’s a bit concerning; I hope it’s not someone who truly needs assistance.9 yearsI've come to realise that this number is linked to BT.9 yearsI reckon this might be a dodgy number, possibly related to spam or phishing attempts.10 yearsKeeps ringing incessantly and never bothers to leave a message! Quite annoying, really.12 yearsI've received a handful of missed calls from this number, with no voicemails left behind. Curiously, I decided to pick up when it rang today. As soon as I answered, there was a brief two-second dial tone, followed by a recorded message indicating that it was from a company associated with BT. They suggested that to stop receiving these calls, I should contact a different number, which unfortunately I didn’t manage to write down in time. I’m still trying to ascertain what that ten-second engagement has cost me, but the call itself was rather ambiguous and didn’t clarify its purpose at all. It certainly feels like some sort of scam to me.BT13 yearsThis evening, on the 18th of May 2011, we received a rather puzzling call that simply said, "CAN we talk TO", and before we could respond, the call was cut off. Quite frankly, we’d like the chance to reach out to some of these callers and kindly ask them to refrain from disturbing us any further. It’s rather bothersome, especially since we’ve started to receive similar calls on our mobiles as well. It would really be beneficial if there was a proper system in place to block specific numbers. While we understand that it’s possible to block all withheld numbers, this does pose a problem for our children when they’re trying to reach us from work, as their numbers are often kept private.Submit Your Own Report (0800 953090)
