Received a call from this number a moment ago, and I haven't the foggiest idea who it could be.

I received two calls from this company insisting that I had previously filled out a lifestyle survey, which is quite baffling since I haven’t! They claimed they needed to "refresh their records," so I told them to make sure they update it by ensuring that they never contact us again. After that, I promptly hung up the phone.

As soon as I picked up the phone, the line went dead, which is a pity because I was about to play them Party Fears Two... I suspect we’ll be hearing from this number a couple more times this week, then they’ll probably switch to another one. The cycle just keeps repeating. Honestly, looking back, granting India independence seems rather regrettable in hindsight...

We've received four calls from this number, but there's nothing but silence on the other end.

We've had this number ring us more times than I can count, and every time we pick up, there's just silence on the other end. It's rather infuriating, especially since our number was on the ex-directory list, and I’ve even registered with the Telephone Preference Service. Honestly, we have no clue who these callers could possibly be!

We’ve received calls from this number time and again. After much deliberation, we chose to answer and inquire about the company name, which we could never quite grasp. Turns out, it was Consumer Lifestyles. We steadfastly declined to respond to any of their questions.

I've had quite enough of these incessant calls! It’s a call centre based abroad, operating under the guise of ‘Consumer Lifestyles’. The moment you pick up, it’s an absolute chore to make sense of what they’re saying; they seem to mumble through everything. It's beyond frustrating!

I received a call from this number, as they were trying to reach one of our daughters who wasn't in at the time. My partner ended up answering the phone, and the caller claimed to represent 'Consumer Lifestyles' or something along those lines. However, after a series of rather peculiar questions, my partner decided to cut the conversation short and decline to engage further.

I answered the phone, but it was silent on the other end. It was nearly 9 in the evening, and I'm on the ex-directory list. With an early start at 5 in the morning, it’s particularly bothersome!

Received a couple of calls over the past fortnight, but both times, I ended up with nothing but silence on the other end. I've now saved the number into our phone directory, so I'll be all set for some proper questioning from the TPF if they decide to ring again!

Most likely one of those "Consumer Lifestyle" chaps - you know the sort, all surveys and endless questions. Personally, I never bother to engage fully... They had the audacity to ask for me by name! When I caught on to that thick Indian accent, I decided to keep them on the line. I put my phone on mute and treated them to a bit of "Party Fears Two" by The Associates from YouTube. But, by the time I returned, they'd vanished into thin air. Honestly, couldn't they hang about for another couple of minutes? Do they think their time is more valuable than mine?

Our mum received a couple of calls earlier today from this number, both times asking for someone by name. The caller, a chap, didn’t catch the name of the company, but during the second conversation, shortly after he remarked that Mrs. ... wasn't in, she asked if he was a relative and whether he could answer a few questions so they could update their records. He still hasn’t got a clue who they are, but I’m determined to find out more when they ring next. We’re registered with the Telephone Preference Service, so they’d better have a solid reason for their calls!

I received a call from this number claiming to have finished a survey. However, that wasn't the case at all. I've asked them to remove my number from their records.

What a right shambles they are! Honestly, it's like dealing with bothersome flies-utterly lacking in sense. They ought to get themselves proper employment instead of harassing those of us who are actually trying to live our lives.

Received a call from someone seeking a person who had my number from six years back. I'm also on the preference service. What's going on with the Data Protection folks? It seems that Consumer Lifestyles should be ensuring their records are current, don't you think?

I keep getting calls from this number repeatedly, and it’s always the same outfit that doesn’t display properly on my caller ID - Consumer Lifestyles. They claim they’re just after a few bits of information for a survey. We let them know we’re not keen, but they carried on bombarding us with calls every few moments today. It’s been the same story for weeks now!

We dashed out to the phone in the garage, only to find no one on the other end. Absolute disgrace!

Blimey, wouldn’t it be brilliant if we could just grab that phone and strangle the nuisance on the other end? I'm absolutely worn out from these relentless silent calls from this company. I've registered with the TPS, but they appear utterly incapable of putting an end to these bothersome rings!

I received a call from the number 08009529975, and from what I gather, it’s linked to Consumer Lifestyles, which operates as a survey organisation. It turns out that survey companies can sidestep the Telephone Preference Service regulations since they aren’t trying to sell you anything directly. Quite an interesting loophole, isn’t it?

I keep receiving calls from this particular number. More often than not, it’s an individual with a distinctly Asian accent, claiming to represent Consumer Lifestyles. He insists he just needs to ask me three more questions to finalise my survey. However, I have no interest in participating in any surveys, yet he seems undeterred. It’s quite bothersome, really - having to interrupt what I'm doing to answer the phone. Like many, I’m also on the Telephone Preference Service list. It truly is high time some action was taken against these persistent callers.

I've just received a call from this particular number, which happens to be linked to our previous list of home contacts. They're searching for someone who has never set foot in our residence, not even in the past 18 years that we've been living here! Quite baffling, to say the least.

We received calls from an outfit known as Consumer Lifestyles. They specialise in consumer surveys and seem to relay the information they gather to various retail businesses. When you pick up the phone, you can expect a wait of around ten to fifteen minutes while they go through their spiel. If you're not interested, simply tell them to jog on and request that they remove your phone number from their database.

It's so annoying how they keep ringing even after you say you're not interested in whatever they're peddling. Honestly, they can be such a nuisance. The government really ought to step in and put a stop to these calls, especially since they can freak out older folks. Frustrated, from Cambridge.

These people are like full-on armadillos, honestly. Their skin is so damn thick, can't break through it at all. Proper nasty bunch, some of the worst, and honestly, they deserve a harsh response.

Whenever they ring me up, I’m anything but polite. They’re a real pain in the neck.

What I've written here is the nicest way I could put it. The thoughts I actually have are definitely not for sharing.

what works for me is as soon as they pick up i go straight in with “hi this is south yorkshire police” and they usually apologise and hang up right away. never get bothered by them again after that. thought i’d share as it seems to shut down cold callers every time i try it. give it a go, might help you lot too.

This guy was so annoying, kept pushing me to do some quick survey. I told him I was busy but he just wouldn’t take no for an answer. Ended up getting really frustrated and told him to basically get lost. Proper irritating, he just wouldn’t quit!

They've called a few times wanting someone with the initial E and the last name, but they got confused when I tried to explain both me and my dad share the same first letter. My mum, who’s disabled, has been the one mostly stuck dealing with these calls. Finally managed to talk to one of them just now and honestly I could barely make out what he was saying - then he just started shouting like that was going to help!

I get phone calls pretty much daily, usually once but often two or three times a day, starting around 9 in the morning until about 9 at night. Being disabled, it takes me a while to get to the phone, so by the time I answer, they've already hung up, and they never leave a message. Unless I sit glued to the phone all day, I’m not sure what else to do. I've signed up for the TPS, but it doesn’t seem to make any difference. Sometimes I just want to grab the phone fast enough to shout a loud “Get lost!” or maybe blow a whistle right down the line!

Since around October 2012, this number has been ringing me non-stop. I always let it go to voicemail because I figure if it was something important or they needed to reach someone in my family, they’d leave a message. But nah, nothing ever pops up in the messages! Honestly, don’t they have anything else to be doing?

Bloody annoying, these morons ringing up just to bore you to death. They must have zero lives to be wasting time like this, absolute plonkers!

Got a call from this number earlier, and they asked for me using my old surname - I’ve been married for over six years now! When I asked where they got my info, they claimed I’d filled out a survey with my details. Seriously, are they still working off info that’s more than six years out of date? Sounds like a proper amateur outfit to me!

This number rang me up as well, trying to get me to do a survey. I just told them no thanks and hung up right away.

Today my mum got two calls from this same number, both times they were asking for her by name. She didn’t manage to catch the company name, though. On the second call, after she said Mrs ........ wasn’t in, the caller asked if she was related and if she could answer some questions to update their records. She still hasn’t worked out who they are, but if they ring again I’m going to try and get more info. We’re on the TPS list, so they’d better have a proper reason for calling.
