Someone called saying they were from Halifax bank, but I dont even have an account there. When I said I was busy and couldnt talk, they sounded a bit annoyed. Looked up the number here and no surprises, it was just another scam call.

Complete idiots. Got a call from these dodgy lot this morning, just the one. The bloke claimed he was from my bank. I asked which bank, and he gave me the wrong name. Told him straight where to shove it and to never bother me again.

They kept ringing my landline loads of times, never said their name properly, just said they were with Lloyds bank. But Lloyds only has my mobile for my accounts. Accidentally picked up this time cos I was busy and didn’t check the number, and then they said they were from Halifax, but I’ve never even had an account with Halifax. I rang my bank straight away to tell them whats going on. They still keep calling but I’m just not picking up now. Also reported it to Action Fraud so hopefully no one else falls for it.

This 0800 number rang my 97 year old dad bright and early at 8:10 on a Saturday! It only rang long enough to disturb him then they just hung up! Since he’s on the TPS, I’m definitely reporting this so they can get the number taken off and hopefully get fined!

I told her there’s nobody by that name here and asked how they even got my number as it’s ex directory. I told her to stop calling and hung up. Got a call on my home phone, an number I dont share with anyone. It was Sunday arvo, and they didnt leave any voicemail. Checked online today and found out theyre total scammers.

Today alone, this number has tried to reach me six times, and each time they’ve failed to leave a voicemail. It’s only half six in the evening, so I suspect there might be even more on the way. Honestly, their relentless calling is a bit off-putting, and it makes me hesitant to pick up the phone. To be on the safe side, I’ve decided it’s high time to block them before they can bother me again.

I don’t pick up calls from numbers I don’t recognise, even if they’re from nearby. If it’s important, they’ll leave a voicemail or try reaching you some other way. Just block those numbers. Don’t ever ring back - it might be one of those scams where they charge you for calling them back. Lately they’re using 0800 numbers on landlines, which is worrying since ours is ex-directory. Really grateful for these websites and how our landline provider lets us block such calls now.

These callers ring from the crack of dawn until well into the evening, every single day of the week, which is quite rare for any reputable company even on a Sunday! What's more, they don’t bother leaving a message, which feels like a right intrusion. You'd think this qualifies as harassment! We're also registered as ex-directory; it makes you wonder how on earth they’ve managed to get hold of our number. There ought to be legislation to protect us from these irritating nuisances!

I get like 4 or 5 calls every week from this number, really annoying.
