Received a call from someone claiming to be Santander's fraud department, but it was definitely a scam.

I got a call from someone saying they were from Santander, telling me my card was used in Liverpool. Totally caught me off guard!

I got a call from a number pretty close to the one on the back of my Santander card, 08009122123 or something like that. But it definitely wasn't exactly the same! Only I’m allowed to set up direct debits, no way someone else should be able to do that. It’s just outright theft, these scammers deserve a proper punishment.

I received a rather dubious call from someone who claimed to be representing Santander Bank. They insinuated that there may have been a compromise regarding my account's security. This individual pressed me to verify a payment of £600 and questioned whether I was the one who had authorised it. Absolute rubbish, if you ask me; I don’t even bank with Santander!

Got a call from 08009122123 saying they were from HSBC's "advanced fraud team." Claimed someone tried to make a transaction in my area and asked me to verify if it was me. They then tried to send a one-time passcode and wanted me to read it out. I didn’t respond and my partner grabbed the phone, telling them we’d hang up and contact HSBC ourselves. The caller then started accusing my partner of being angry because I was apparently seeing other blokes behind his back! Definitely not a genuine HSBC person.

Got a call from someone saying they were from HSBC about a weird banking thing. They asked if I’d tried to withdraw £1000 within the past quarter of an hour. I told them no, I hadn’t. Then the bloke just said, “Alright, will you have #### with me *said my full name*” and then just ended the call immediately.

I had some dodgy bloke on the line pretending to be from Monzo, telling me to transfer funds to a 'secure' account as someone named 'Mo' allegedly tried to withdraw cash from mine. The thing is, I've never even heard of this ‘Mo’ fellow! And it stinks of blatant racism, trying to rope in white folks by dropping that name. Quite a cunning move, or just plain daft? Either way, I’m sure his superior will have something to say about it after reading this!

What a ruse! I received a call from this number claiming my Santander account had been breached, and they urged me to move nearly £1790 to a different account. Sceptical, I contacted Santander directly and discovered it was all a complete fabrication. These folks are definitely up to no good-just hang up and make sure to report them!

Got a call that seemed almost like my bank's number, they wanted me to say out loud some sort of OTP. It felt fishy, so I just ended the call straight away. Definitely a scam, I've let my bank know about it too.

Someone pretending to be from Santander rang me saying there’d been some weird activity on my account. They then sent a text with an OTP code and asked me to give it to them to approve a payment, which you should never do. I just ended the call and phoned my bank straight away, turns out it was a scam.

I’ve just received a couple of calls from this number but I chose not to pick up. They rang me twice! Given that my personal information was compromised just yesterday, I’m inclined to think it’s the same individual looking to cause further trouble. What a right pain!
