It felt rather peculiar to receive a call from a so-called call centre at that hour, particularly with such an odd request as an opener. It raised my suspicions! This could very well be a scam, especially when a bank is involved and they're probing for sensitive information. Remember, anyone can easily acquire an 0800 number that's redirected from abroad.
