Someone called me claiming to be from the internet company O2. They said my account was hacked and that my connection was about to get turned off. Felt like a total scam to me.

I don’t usually pick up calls from unknown numbers, but I didn’t check the screen properly this time as I wasn’t wearing my glasses. The person on the line said something about my National Insurance number being suspended and then asked for my name. I just ended the call straight away.

Got a call from 0800 824 9095 telling me my national insurance number had been involved in some scam and that they'd suspend it soon. Sounded dodgy to me.

The call was really hard to understand, sounded like it was coming from abroad. Earlier, I had received some messages from O2 saying someone would ring me, and it included a phone number. I think I might have fallen for it, all because it was from O2, lol.

They told me they worked for 02, but I've never been a customer with them or anything.

I just got a call from this number, and the person said, “hello, I’m ##H# from 02, how’s it going?” They had a really thick Indian accent and the phone connection was awful, which doesn’t seem right for an 02 caller. Seeing that other folks mentioned the caller usually says they're "Mr," it's clear this number is dodgy - definitely a scam!

Got a call from someone saying they were from HMRC offering a tax refund. They sent a link to "claim" it, but the funny thing is, I don’t even pay any tax! Definitely sounds like a scam, so watch out everyone.

most of the time i notice when it hangs up after about 4 or 5 rings it's probably some telemarketer.
