Received a call from what sounded like an Indian call centre claiming to represent BT.

Got a phone call from someone claiming to be from BT call centre in India. After I had a proper enquiry about my BT account, I got an email asking for personal and account info. The email headers looked genuine at first. But asking for such private details over the phone or email is definitely fishy. Feels like a scam trying to phish for my data. BT would never ask for that sort of info like that.
