I made a call on behalf of an elderly acquaintance who got tricked into a agreement regarding some drainage work. Thankfully, she was able to reclaim her funds - yet now she’s received another correspondence stating that a new monthly charge (albeit smaller!) is set to commence on the 15th of June, 2021. When I feigned interest in their services and inquired about how they were managing drain repairs across the country with just one employee, she claimed they had a larger staff. I then pointed out that her number seems linked with multiple businesses - curious to know what else they might provide! At that point, she fell silent and ended the call.

I recently received a rather suspicious call from a number purporting to be 'Secure My Drains'. The woman on the line had a distinctly North American twang. She claimed that my elderly parents were members and that they could somehow lower their monthly direct debit. As part of this supposed deal, she requested their bank details. Naturally, we've alerted the bank about this dubious operation and have taken precautionary measures to block any further direct debit arrangements on my parents' account. A quick perusal of the Secure My Drains website reveals a lack of substantial information, and their links to social media just redirect back to their own site - highly suspect, if you ask me. It’s shocking how many scammers seem to ring us up week after week, blatantly preying on the vulnerable. These unscrupulous types seem intent on siphoning off hard-earned pensions from our older generation. I fervently hope that one day, they will face justice for their despicable actions.

We've just received a call from this number regarding some sort of update for our unwanted phone calls account. They mentioned specific digits on their end, but none of them match anything linked to either my husband or myself. I would advise caution; this certainly feels like a scam to me.
