The voicemail said something about Warrington DWP and a letter they sent coming back because my details didn’t match theirs, and asked me to ring them back on the same number. But from what I know: 1) The Warrington office number begins with 0800731, not 0800721, and ends with 7898. 2) Also, the Warrington office isn't open on Saturdays at all. So it seems a bit fishy to me.DWPWarrington5 yearsI got a missed call from 0800 023 2076, and the voicemail asked me to ring back on 0800 721 7898. That second number flagged up as dodgy when I looked it up, but I still gave it a ring. It sounded quite convincing at first, but a lot online say it’s a scam. So today I picked up when 0800 023 2076 called again - same bloke claiming he was calling on behalf of the DWP. I asked him for the address he was calling from and he couldn’t answer. I told him it sounded like a con and hung up. I doubt they’ll bother trying again, but who knows.
