The message asked whether I had made a transaction for £130.00 and instructed me to reply 'yes' if I had. If not, I was told to ring 08006897877. The thing is, I don’t even own a Tesco Credit Card, so my alarm bells started ringing immediately. Moreover, I would have expected a genuine message to be more personalised, and when querying a specific transaction, it should ideally include the date and details, which it lacked.
