Got a message from +44 7581 388772 asking if I confirmed a payment of £3140 to IKEA. No way was that me! I rung the number 08006895473 just to be sure. Total scam, blocked the number straight away and deleted the message. Absolute fraudsters!!!

Got a message from 44740254901 telling me to ring this number - exactly the same text as before. Pretty clear it’s a scam, so I’ve just blocked it.

Had nothing better to do at work so I rang this number but kept my number private. They seemed to want your full name, account number, and how much money you’ve got in your account. An hour earlier I’d spoken to Santander and gave them all the info but they didn’t appear bothered at all. Like someone else mentioned, it’s odd how these scammers got their hands on a toll free number. When the person answered, she said she was from the “Santander Fraud Department”. I just made up a name, account number, and balance. The moment she had those details, she ended the call.

Got a text from 07851389258 pretending to be Santander. It said something like: "Santander:: We need to verify a payment of £3,140 to IKEA Stores. Please ring us on 08006895674." Thing is, I haven’t been anywhere near IKEA at all. Total scam, just waiting for folks to give out their info and get ripped off. These scammers are just greedy leeches, ruining lives for their own gain. Best advice - don’t reply or call back, just ignore completely so these dodgy scammers get nowhere.
