3 yearsGot a call from someone saying it was a free line connected to HSBC, complete with a somewhat official intro and music. I ended up speaking to a woman who didn’t actually say she was from HSBC, but asked how she could assist me. I mentioned that my mum received a text about her card being blocked because of a suspicious £103 transaction, which seemed odd because she doesn’t even hold an HSBC account. The lady then claimed she couldn’t locate any details for me (no wonder, she never asked for any!) and said sorry for the confusion.
