I saw others mentioning it might be a scam cause the number seems spoofed or something. I’m actually due for a CT scan and this number rang me twice. I didn’t let it ring out and when I tried ringing back it said it doesn’t take incoming calls. Looks like I fell for a scam then! Never share personal info unless you’re sure who you’re speaking with! The number looks legit, like a health board one, but you’re better off calling your health board directly - they’ll actually answer.

So this number rang me askin’ for me by my name, but as soon as I started talkin’ and they couldn’t hear properly, they just hung up. Tried ringin’ ’em back but the line won’t take any calls in. Never got a call back either. Proper annoying when folks just hang up while I’m tryin’ to get somewhere with better mobile signal so they can hear me. I usually block numbers like that.

Why do i keep getting calls from this number when i’m living in Inverclyde? I did ring them a couple years back and it says it’s from Glasgow and the surrounding area. A few comments around 17 or 18 spots earlier on here offer some pretty good tips. What I’d say is just answer the phone and don’t say a word, simply listen closely. That way, you’re safe from any scams. If you want, you can always make a rude noise and hang up whenever you like. Also, I always suggest using your mobile number when booking stuff - then the reminders come as regular texts, not some robotic phone message.

Got a text saying "What do you think about remote monitoring? Reply FB1 if you liked it, FB2 if it was alright, or FB3 if you didn’t." No idea who it’s from. Haven’t had any other calls from that number. The call came through at 6:48am on 1st August 2023. For now, I’m ignoring the number 448006783393 unless I hear something that changes my mind.

Just got a call from this number, a guy was asking for someone called Mia. I told him he must have dialled the wrong person. The weird part? About ten minutes earlier, I answered another call from 01212750500 (Birmingham area) and a lady said "I've got Mia on the other line waiting for you". Really odd coincidence!

This was a proper clever SCAM - the caller somehow knew my wife's name and freakishly even her brother's name too (who supposedly was in hospital, as the caller said). The caller claimed to be an 'occupational therapist' and said my wife's brother had a stroke a few days back and was in ward B7 (which doesn't even exist). It's crazy how they managed to get all that info.

Someone rang my landline but I didn’t answer as I was upstairs. They left a voicemail but there was no sound, just silence then it stopped. I looked up the number thinking it was the NHS but it started with (0141), which is for medical centres, not the usual (0800) NHS numbers. It’s definitely a scam - they might ask for your name and personal details. If you have a medical appointment, ring your doctor directly. They will contact you themselves. Whatever you do, don’t share any info if you get a call from this number.

This 0800 number rang my aunt’s landline asking for me specifically. I’ve given this number to my doctor before, but the person who called today didn’t say who they were, even after my aunt asked. I received a rather frustrating reminder from the NHS regarding an upcoming appointment of mine. After they mentioned my name, they instructed me to press any button on my phone if everything was in order, but to my annoyance, the call disconnected four times today!
