Seems a bit dodgy to me. I received a text claiming to be from the DWP, but it’s highly improbable that it’s authentic.

The number keeps dropping the call whenever I try to ring back after being told to call it straight away.

Watch out, this might be some kind of con. Official places like the DWP always send letters, never just call out of the blue.

I received a text on my phone from 08006190310 telling me to contact the "DWP" on Monday 17th December. When I tried ringing back from my mobile, the call just ended before it even rang. Then I gave it a go from my landline, but all I got was a busy tone that never stopped. Surely, if it was really the "DWP" messaging me, they’d send a letter instead? Feels a bit dodgy to me, maybe it’s a scam?
