This number keeps ringing us up claiming there’s an old BT line and wanting us to switch but no way are we doing that, our internet always goes down whenever they call, have to restart the router every single time, such a pain!

I had a chap ring me today touting some sort of package involving BT’s TV, broadband, and phone services. He seemed keen to get my personal details for an offer that, apparently, I simply couldn't overlook. I'm not entirely convinced it's on the level, so I've decided to steer clear of sharing any info. Better safe than sorry, I reckon!

They’ve been ringin me pretty much twice a day for a few days now, usually about the same times each day. The calls don’t ring long before hangin up, and never pick up either. Proper annoying and feels like harassment!!

This number kept ringing me but I never pick up if I dont know who’s calling. I looked it up here after and saw what others said. My tip is simple: don’t pick up calls from unfamiliar numbers. Eventually, they’ll give up thinking the number isn’t active. If you do answer, they’ll figure out your line is active and you’ll just get more annoying calls from them, or even different numbers they use or that end up sharing your contact.

08006127779 has been ringing our landline pretty much daily for the past week, sometimes even a couple of times a day. I usually don’t pick up (I always let the answering machine pick up first to see if it’s someone I recognise before actually answering), and when this number called the very first time, it left a message claiming to be from BT. Since then though, no messages have been left, they just hang up straight away once the answering machine greeting kicks in. It’s really irritating, especially when it rings right in the middle of our favourite TV shows!

Got a call from 08006127779 claiming to be BT with some special offer in my region. I asked which area they meant, and she gave me a postcode then asked about my current provider. I told her I’d reported the number and she hung up straight away. I blocked and reported it straight away. This is linked to another number that’s been pestering me, which I’ve also blocked. It’s definitely the same lot. NEVER share your bank info or personal details like your name or address with these people.

My Mum's in her seventies and this number has been ringing her nonstop. When I was with her, some really pushy Scottish bloke kept hassling her for like half an hour, trying to get her to switch her TV and phone plan to BT. When I finally took the phone, he claimed “sorry, but your Mum doesn’t have enough fibre optic available in her area.” Yeah, right! Watch out for these dodgy callers, folks.

Got a call from BT, some Scottish bloke who was really pushy, asking who my provider was. I said I wasn’t interested, but he kept going on about saving me money and trying to be helpful, yeah right, total scammers. Definitely gonna report this to BT.

This number kept ringing me for days on end, and after a while I gave in and picked up because my new BT landline phone, even with its supposed nuisance call blocker, didn’t block this caller or show me who it was! Turns out it was BT trying to sell me their TV packages. They’ve been flooding my mailbox for ages, and it looks like BT won’t quit trying to get me to sign up for their TV service. One time I picked up and it was a bloke with a foreign accent saying he was from 'Talktalk'. I’ve never been a Talktalk customer, not since my account got hacked couple years ago! I told him I wasn’t interested and to stop calling, but he kept going. I stupidly answered the next two times and ended up swearing at him - totally my fault! Since then I just don’t pick up at all. They call like 3 times a day now, but I just block and ignore. Definitely dodgy callers!!

A woman rang speaking a foreign language, then another lady on the phone spoke English but never explained why she was calling. I kept asking what she wanted, but each time she said she’d ring back, so I ended the call. I reckon it’s a scam since they never bothered to call again. I’ve had loads of odd calls before but they all stopped, fingers crossed this is just a one-time thing.

Proper rude bloke with a thick Scottish accent, sounds like he’s from Glasgow or somewhere nearby. Said he was from BT. I asked why he was ringing me. He just said he needed to speak to the account holder. I told him I don’t have BT. Then he says, ‘I know, that’s why I’m calling. Who’s your provider then?’ I said I couldn’t say, I’m just the cleaner here. He swore at me and hung up. This number’s been buzzing my landline nonstop for weeks, like multiple times a day. It was this woman, sounded like Asian, calling on my mobile asking who the landline belonged to. Bit annoying since it was my dad’s place and he’d just died, and she didn’t even know either of our names. Proper rude if you ask me.

Got a call from Lisa at Stellar, claiming to be with BT, and she had this really blunt Scottish accent. They've been ringing me every day for the past ten days, trying to get me to switch from Virgin to BT. I've told her several times I’m not interested and even said it feels like harassment and that I’d reported it to the police, but she didn’t think there was anything wrong. This lot just won’t accept no as an answer. I’m definitely going to keep taking action against them.

Got a call from 08006127779 on 29th August 2017 at 2.54pm. I was tied up so let it go to my answerphone. When I played the message back, it was really creepy. A bloke was quietly singing something, and the last line I caught was ‘I’m gonna set your (can’t make out the word) on fire’. I’m honestly considering ringing the cops about this.

I simply refuse to respond to calls from numbers I don't know. My phone redirects to voicemail after it's rung seven times, allowing anyone who wishes to leave a message the chance to do so. More often than not, though, they don't bother, just like with this particular number.
