Earlier today, a chap rang me up claiming to be from Sky, informing me that as part of my newfound connection to Sky Mobile, I could receive some sort of welcome package from Domestic and General. Naturally, my curiosity was piqued, and I inquired about the relationship between Sky and D&G. He responded that they collaborated closely. However, I firmly relayed that I wasn’t keen on pursuing it further, and he graciously wrapped up the conversation. I can't help but wonder, is Sky cognisant of the fact that customer data is being leveraged for calls like this?

Received a call from this number today, claiming to be from Sky. The person on the line was well-informed about my account details and even gave me a rundown of the benefits of Sky Q. They proceeded to suggest an insurance plan for £8 a month to cover any mishaps with my Sky service, which I turned down. Just thought I’d share this experience so you can draw your own conclusions.
