Received a call today, and I only use a BT line. The ringing was actually from another provider, which is a bit of a nuisance as I was fed up with all the sales calls I was getting from them. Things had been relatively peaceful for a while, but now it seems I'm getting bombarded again with those 'return to BT' calls and emails! Oh, and I also had a call from 08007312687.

I’m also signed up with the Telephone Preference Service and my number is ex-directory, so how on earth do these callers manage to get hold of it? Don’t they understand that I only want to receive calls from people I actually recognise?

I've had my fill of BT Vision constantly ringing me! I’ve decided it’s high time I switch providers. I've had enough of this nonsense. Virgin seems like a solid choice for broadband and all that jazz. Time for a change, I reckon!

This number keeps pestering us with calls that either hang up right after we answer or cut off shortly after a brief introduction. Today alone, it rang five times, and I'm absolutely fuming! Especially since my dad is in hospital recovering from a kidney transplant, and it could be my mum trying to reach me. Can BT either give us some proper information or leave us in peace? There's far more important matters at hand than their blasted sales quotas!

I've had a word with BT, and they confirmed that HCL is actually a sales outfit acting on their behalf. If you're keen to rid yourself of these 'leeches' ringing from 08007312687, BT Security advised me to reach out to them at 0800 661441 and ask for my number to be removed from their marketing list. I've gone ahead and done just that, and they've assured me that the calls from HCL should stop forthwith.

I’ve just had a rather forceful call from these chaps promoting BT Vision at £6.99 a week, claiming there's a "discounted" installation charge. I can’t help but think we could snag the equipment for free under our existing contract. It’s plausible these folks are simply a misguided branch of BT, or perhaps they’re a rather dodgy third-party trying to undercut your entitlements for a bit of profit. A quick note for others: Signing up for the TPS doesn’t completely exempt you from communication from businesses you already have dealing with, like the genuine BT might be.

I received a call from the BT 'win back' division, apparently. The name given to me was Brendon Maclaughton, claiming to be part of a team labelled CPSWIN9. However, it’s curious because I can't seem to make any calls to them; all incoming attempts to 08005870823 are simply blocked! It's rather puzzling, especially since it appears that even BT themselves are unaware of this situation. Quite a conundrum!
