According to him, we’re currently shelling out over £3, but they’re now offering it for just over a quid, conveniently added to our phone bill. I initially assumed he was connected to my call-blocking provider. Then, he wanted to confirm my card details and gave me the starting digits, followed by a request for the expiry date. That was the last I heard until I noticed a whopping £44.99 had vanished from my account without my consent! When I called the number back, a woman assured me she'd have him return my call. After an hour of waiting, I tried again, only to be greeted by someone named Kieran, claiming to represent a satellite repair firm. I immediately contacted my bank, only to be alarmed to learn they can take your cash with minimal security checks! Do pass this on - NEVER divulge any card information over the phone, or anywhere else for that matter.
