I told them I'm registered with TPS and to stop ringing me, but they just kept saying it was a scheduled call back. Then the woman on the phone got proper nasty, started threatening me and shouting all sorts. I stayed polite and kept my cool, but she just got angrier and angrier. I mentioned I'd report her and their firm, though I doubt it'll stop them from targeting people who can't defend themselves. They must've got my info from a new owner or something - no permission or anything was given, just lies and aggressive behaviour.

This bloke called saying he could help me lower my electricity and gas bills. I quickly changed the subject and asked if he’d ever thought about inviting Jesus into his life, then broke into a hymn which seemed to catch him off guard! Despite that, he had the nerve to ring again later. I reckon most of us can handle these types no problem, but it’s the elderly who really get hit hard by these pests. I really can’t stand them.

After a bit of questioning, the person on 0800555759 finally admitted it was just a sales call. I asked him to take me off their call list but he refused. Isn’t it meant to be illegal not to remove people when they ask? Why hasn’t the government done anything to stop these annoying scammers? Absolutely frustrating!

I received a phone call purporting to be from the UK Energy Council, insisting they were affiliated with a government body. They asserted that our current energy provider was overcharging us and tried to persuade us to switch to a supplier that had actually been shut down back in 2015! Honestly, I kept them engaged on the line for a good 18 minutes before my interest waned and I hung up. Quite the absurdity!

What an absolute nuisance! I've been bombarded by calls regarding exorbitant electricity charges. The callers are so rude and full of themselves, ranting and raving like there’s no tomorrow. They’ve been persistent too, ringing my mobile multiple times. It's beyond infuriating!

They claimed to be from Direct Energy, but sounded really pushy and sketchy. When I asked them to confirm their company name and where they were calling from, they dodged the question at first. Eventually, they let slip they were actually calling from Pakistan. Definitely felt like a scam.

Some bloke claiming to be from National Grid called me, moaning about how much we pay for our electricity. I received a call from someone purporting to be from the electricity authority, claiming that my energy provider was overcharging me! I was quite baffled, as I meticulously read my meter and review my bills each quarter. They then began probing me with questions about who my supplier is, my payment amount, and even my first name. I requested they provide a written explanation of their calculations. He mentioned he would transfer me to a supervisor. Surprisingly, without even hanging up, another chap joined the line and reiterated the same tale. I repeated my request for a written clarification. They then abruptly disconnected the call. I suspect this is merely a scam attempting to harvest personal information under the guise of offering a better deal.

When I asked for his contact info, the guy with an Indian accent said he wouldn’t give me his details unless I gave him mine first. Proper frustrating and a total waste of time.
