2 monthsBourne End, Bucks: Got a message saying "This is Nationwide, here to help. Please call us on 0800 464 3030 (Mon-Fri 8-6) to discuss your account." I decided to ring the number, but just before anyone picked up, I used the Nationwide app’s ‘Call Checker’ feature, and it showed the call wasn’t actually connected to them. So I ended the call. Next, I phoned the number printed on the back of my card and chatted with a really friendly guy. He confirmed the number I’d called wasn’t theirs. He told me I’d done the right thing by hanging up straight away. Watch out - it’s a scam!Bourne EndBucksNationwide3 monthsGot a text telling me to ring this number about a loan with Nationwide. Thought it was dodgy, so I called the number on the back of my card instead. The lady there said Nationwide hasn’t tried to reach me about any loan, said it might be some sales people, but they usually don’t call for loan stuff. So yeah, told me not to bother calling that number back.Nationwide4 monthsHeads up!!! This 0800 464 3030 number ain’t actually Nationwide.
