We've been receiving persistent calls from a rather aggressive gentleman claiming to represent SSE. His behaviour is quite alarming-every time we attempt to end the conversation, he just rings back and starts yelling at us. It's absolutely unacceptable and incredibly discourteous. Got a call from an Asian guy about changing my energy provider. I said no thanks, but then he kept ringing me like 5 times, trying to be funny by pretending to be someone else. I asked to talk to a manager, and then the line went dead. After a bit, he called back pretending to be some English bloke called Sam Andrews who was the manager. I couldn’t help but laugh at how daft he sounded. I was like, "Who you trying to fool mate? I know it’s you." He hung up on me. Had a really unpleasant bloke on the phone. I’m working at a takeaway and asked nicely what he wanted, and he just goes off with all these nasty, crude comments. Saying stuff like he wanted to take me to bed and be with me all night. And he kept bragging about how big he was. Proper disrespectful and awful. Wish there was a way to block callers like that.

Got a call from someone saying he was Brian or Raza from Utilities Solution UK about issues with overcharging on my bills, claiming they wanted to assist me. They gave a landline number 01212863714 and a mobile 07796774994. When I said my name was Stuart Little, the bloke started laughing and making cheeky comments like he was having a joke at my expense, so I ended the call pretty quick.

So this bloke, who sounded Asian - maybe Indian or Pakistani from the way he spoke English, tried pushing some 'Business Electricity' deal on me. When I told him I couldn’t quite catch what he was saying, he suddenly started swearing and shouting!! Haha. He even threw insults at my mum, sister, and the whole family!! Haha. Same here, got a call on my work line from someone pushing a smart meter. They told me E.ON don't cover our area, which sounded odd. They've phoned me half a dozen times asking for personal details. This number is dodgy, defo don't trust cold callers on your business phone.

How do these calls not get blocked? I’ve had more than just this one today - about a dozen from different folks claiming they’re my electricity supplier, but when I ask, they haven’t a clue who my provider actually is. I tell them I’m going to report them, and they just hang up, only to ring back five minutes later. Running a business, this is so frustrating when real customers can’t get through and you’re stuck having to argue with these callers from India while people wait in your shop. Surely someone with proper tech can put a stop to this - it’s beyond annoying.

Some bloke called Edward claimed to be from British Gas and said he had all my bank details.
