D&G rang again, only like 10 minutes after I’d blocked their last number. Now they’re using a different number, so I had to block that one as well. Blocking them seems useless. They don’t just call during the day, they even ring late at night. This feels like proper harassment from a company that’s meant to have a good reputation. It’s shocking.

I didn’t give any info since I wasn’t comfortable, and the woman on the line couldn’t explain why she was calling - she only said it was from Domestic and General. I then rang Domestic and General on 0800 561 4493, and they confirmed that 0800 444231 is definitely one of their numbers and that the call was genuine with a record of it. So, I’m considering the number trustworthy.

Got a call from this number just now, and the woman said it was about the Beko oven I signed up for last week. She wanted all my personal info before saying anything else. I asked her where she was calling from because of GDPR rules, but she refused to tell me. I also told her I never agreed to Beko contacting me with deals or services. Then she just hung up. This number rang me today after I’d just talked with D&G yesterday. Lucky for me, the call dropped before I could share my new bank info! I phoned D&G back on their official number and they confirmed they don’t call about missed payments - they always send letters instead. So if I get calls like this again, it’s clearly a scam. They also mentioned I can opt out of marketing calls now. Looks like the new GDPR rules are actually helping!

Received a call from this number earlier. The chap on the line proposed that if I bought a five-year warranty for my Hotpoint tumble dryer for £89, I’d supposedly get a voucher worth the same amount to use on any future purchases of Hotpoint, Zanussi, or Whirlpool products within a couple of days. I told him I needed some time to ponder it over, and he mentioned he’d give me a bell at 5 pm. Surprisingly, he never called back. I reckon I’ll reach out to Hotpoint tomorrow to check the authenticity of this offer, as it all seems a bit too enticing to be genuine.

Domestic and General, the number’s legit and so are the people calling. A lot of you don’t seem to get that once you register for insurance after buying your appliance, you’re actually getting cover with them. I made sure to read everything properly. Satisfied with how they handled it and the team’s quite helpful when I had to cancel my old policy to switch to a new one for my latest appliance.

I made it clear I wasn’t keen on the idea, stating that if it ever went kaput after the warranty expired, I’d simply toss it in the car and head to the local tip. My phone’s app kept freezing whenever I tried to check this number. Eventually, I had to restart my iPhone just to get it working again. After that, I used the t####er app to call the number and it showed up as spam. I figured out that as long as I avoid tapping the number’s details, the app won’t freeze. That way, I managed to delete the number from my recent calls, and the freezing stopped.
