Received a message claiming to be from Lloyds Group, stating there was a new payee added to my account. I didn't hesitate to block the number straight away!

Got a message about a new payee being added on Saturday 27th July at 5:08 pm, but I never did that. If you didn't either, they want you to ring 08004337921. Sounds like another scam to me. I'm really fed up with random numbers keep calling, hope the bank or police stop this rubbish soon.

This call used the exact same script as the others, but they mentioned Halifax instead.

You can report it by texting 'scam caller' to 7726, the phone companies then look into it and block the number. Or if it's some suspicious message just forward it to 7726 and they’ll sort it out.

Got a message from 08004337295 claiming I’d added a new payee - I wasn’t even near my phone then. They told me to ring Lloyds on the same number. Watch out, this is definitely a scam!

Got a text from "Lloyds group" about a new payee being added to my account, telling me to ring 08004337921 if it wasn’t me. I phoned the bank directly and they said it was a scam. Don’t fall for it and definitely don’t share any info with them!

Got the exact same message today from the same number. Rang Lloyds to double check and turns out it’s a scam trying to steal your banking info. Just ignore and delete straight away!!

Got a message saying I’d added a new payee on 27/07 at 16:29:34. It warned that my phone number is needed to confirm payments, and if it wasn’t me, to ring Lloyds Group on 08004337921. Turns out, that number’s dodgy! The proper Lloyds number is actually 0345 300 0000. Definitely a scam trying to trick people!
