Callers employ persuasive tactics, leading vulnerable recipients to share bank or credit card details, with some victims cancelling cards soon after suspecting fraud. The company disregards the Telephone Preference Service, misleadingly claiming exemption under the guise of "helping people." Several victims report difficulty in obtaining refunds, and some experience abrupt disconnections when seeking clarifications. Potential victims are advised to rely on the official free Telephone Preference Service to avoid nuisance calls and refrain from sharing financial information with unsolicited callers.

My elderly parents received a rather dubious cold call from a company purporting to manage telephone privacy. They claimed that for a fee of £74.99, they could eliminate all the cold calls for a three-year period. The chap on the line, named Jeremy, was exceedingly charming and managed to coax my mum into divulging her direct debit card details. Thankfully, she called me right after to verify the legitimacy of the call, and I promptly cancelled her card. It's absolutely appalling how these individuals target vulnerable seniors. I shall be lodging a complaint with the appropriate regulatory body, the Telephone Preference Service. Just a heads up: steer clear of these scam artists-they're nothing short of a fraudulent scheme!

This evening, around 6pm, my poor grandmother received a call from some unscrupulous individual pretending to be a salesperson named "Adam." He managed to dupe her into revealing her bank card details. I only discovered the situation a few hours afterwards and promptly cancelled her card. Now, I’ll have to wait until tomorrow to find out if they’ve made off with any of her money. What a stressful ordeal!

My 90-year-old Gran just got ripped off! I’m so angry, how can anyone be so heartless?! Really hope karma swings back at these scumbags hard!!!

They're just taking money straight from your bank accounts without giving anything back at all.

My dad, who is 87 and a widower, recently got a call from this firm. He gave them his debit card details to "sign up" but soon after started to feel uneasy about it. When he rang back to chat with the same sales rep, they put him on hold and then the call just cut off. He quickly contacted his bank to block the card and explain the situation. Fingers crossed nothing worse happened. This company is awful, and I’m convinced they’re purposely preying on older people with their dodgy "service". Even though my dad’s number is on the Telephone Preference Service list, it didn’t seem to stop them at all.

My 86 year old mum got roped into giving her card details to this firm for some £79.99 charge that was meant to cover 3 years. I phoned them straight away to stop it, and now I’m keeping an eye to check if they’ve actually taken the cash. When I mentioned we’re registered with the telephone preference service, she just said they don’t have to follow that since they’re 'helping people' or something like that!

Just came across this number because a elderly relative of mine, around 75, fell victim to what’s clearly a scam. Honestly, these scammers are the worst! She’s recently lost her husband and really doesn’t need this added stress; she’s quite vulnerable right now. I called her this evening after she mentioned it, told her straight away not to engage. I had a bad feeling about it and decided to look into it for her. If you’re fed up with these annoying calls, try signing up with the Telephone Preference Service, it doesn’t cost a thing. A quick Google search will point you in the right direction. Don’t let these muppets take advantage!

They sold me a tele privacy device, saying it would block all those annoying calls and charged me £74.99. I told them I didn’t actually want it and asked for a refund. On Friday, they claimed it had been dispatched three days earlier, but I never got it. After that, they told me to return the item and then they'd send me a cheque.
