Several victims report difficulty in obtaining refunds, and some experience abrupt disconnections when seeking clarifications. Potential victims are advised to rely on the official free Telephone Preference Service to avoid nuisance calls and refrain from sharing financial information with unsolicited callers.

My elderly parents received a rather dubious cold call from a company purporting to manage telephone privacy. They claimed that for a fee of £74.99, they could eliminate all the cold calls for a three-year period. The chap on the line, named Jeremy, was exceedingly charming and managed to coax my mum into divulging her direct debit card details. Thankfully, she called me right after to verify the legitimacy of the call, and I promptly cancelled her card. It's absolutely appalling how these individuals target vulnerable seniors. I shall be lodging a complaint with the appropriate regulatory body, the Telephone Preference Service. Just a heads up: steer clear of these scam artists-they're nothing short of a fraudulent scheme!

This evening, around 6pm, my poor grandmother received a call from some unscrupulous individual pretending to be a salesperson named "Adam." He managed to dupe her into revealing her bank card details. I only discovered the situation a few hours afterwards and promptly cancelled her card. Now, I’ll have to wait until tomorrow to find out if they’ve made off with any of her money. What a stressful ordeal!

I can't believe it-my poor 90-year-old grandmother just fell victim to a scam! I'm absolutely livid! How do these lowlifes sleep at night? They clearly have no sense of right and wrong. I truly hope they face the consequences of their actions-Karma better come knocking!

I’m appalled to share that my 87-year-old father, who’s been living on his own since my mother passed, fell victim to a rather unscrupulous company. He was conned into revealing his debit card information under the guise of a “sign-up” offer. Fortunately, after the call, he began to have doubts and decided to reconsider. When he tried to call back to connect with the sales representative who had spoken with him, he was put on hold indefinitely, and the line was abruptly cut off. Realising the potential danger, he promptly contacted his bank to cancel his card and report the incident. We're keeping our fingers crossed that nothing untoward has occurred, but honestly, this company’s actions are utterly disgraceful! It seems they’re specifically preying on vulnerable seniors with their deceitful “services.” Even more frustrating is that my father’s number is already listed with the Telephone Preference Service, which clearly hasn’t made a difference.

I’m appalled at how this firm managed to convince my elderly mother, who's 86, to share her credit card info for a payment of £79.99 spanning three years. I promptly called to get it cancelled, and now I'm monitoring her account to ensure they haven’t dabbled with her funds. When I mentioned that we’re registered with the telephone preference service, the representative had the audacity to claim that it doesn’t apply to us since they’re "assisting people"! Unbelievable!

I've recently come across this number because a dear elderly relative of mine, aged 75, has fallen victim to this dreadful scam! It’s absolutely infuriating! She's just lost her husband and is already dealing with enough as it is without these lowlifes preying on her vulnerability. I called her this evening and after she shared her distressing experience, I urged her to steer clear of any further dealings. My instincts told me it was dodgy, so I did a bit of research on her behalf. <br/> For anyone looking to put a stop to these annoying calls, I highly recommend the Telephone Preference Service - it won't cost you a penny! Just search for it online. Don't let these morons pull the wool over your eyes!

I bought a telephone privacy system from them, hoping it would put an end to all those irritating calls. They charged me £74.99 for it. I made it clear that I wasn’t interested and requested a refund. They informed me (on a Friday) that they dispatched it three days ago, but it hasn't arrived. Then they suggested that I send it back, and they would issue me a cheque instead. What a palaver!
