I inquired about the identity of the caller. Why haven't you provided that information? What’s the reason?

I've just had the same type of call, they were utterly vague and couldn’t provide any substantial details apart from mentioning that someone had suffered an accident back in 2009 and apparently had a right to some compensation. When we probed for more information, they promptly claimed they couldn’t share anything else-couldn't even tell us the vehicle’s make, citing the Data Protection Act as their reason. They promised to send over some paperwork and to follow up later. I'm curious if anyone else has had any follow-up from them or received additional information?

I received a message from Umar Kayani regarding the number 0800432321. He seemed quite concerned about an incident that had been reported from my place.

I received a call from someone named "Omar Kiami" who claimed to be with "UK Claims," attempting to discuss a supposed road accident from three years back, which I can assure you never took place. This caller mentioned having information from an outfit called "Road Traffic Accident Management" and insisted they required confirmation of details from my end. Oddly enough, they refused to provide any specifics that needed verifying. They went on about an alleged compensation payout of £2000 that was supposedly owed to me. Quite relentless in their pursuit, the only way to escape the conversation was to abruptly hang up. When I tried returning the call, the number was unrecognised. There’s a nagging feeling this could be linked to a recent Al Qaeda fundraising scheme or something equally dubious.

Received a call from a woman claiming to be Susan Gibson, but her accent was distinctly foreign. Quite the odd experience!

Received an eerily similar call from a company claiming to be from United Kingdom Claims. They said they had information regarding an individual living at my address who was involved in an accident within the last three years, supposedly sourced from the Road Traffic Accident Management. However, they couldn't provide any specifics about the time, place, or vehicle involved. The whole thing felt a bit off, so I asked to speak to a manager, who only added to my suspicions. The numbers they provided were 0800 786 0121 and 0208 144 2317. I didn’t bother dialling either; it clearly sounded like a scam!

I keep receiving incessant phone calls from "UK Accident Helpline" claiming they sourced my details from Road Traffic Management. The numbers they've used are 04157070560, 02081442317, 02081444376, and 02081442418, plus more. They’ve provided an address of 170 Garratt Lane, Wandsworth, or 171 Garratt Lane, which is actually a café bar called Sultans. They've asked me to ring this number: 0800 432 321. The individual who speaks to me goes by the name Umar Kayami or Kiani, and they advertise their website as www.ukaccidenthelpline.co.uk, although it appears to be non-functional. The calls I’ve experienced have been quite aggressive, with threats implying they know my residence and could send people round. It’s imperative to report such disturbing calls to www.actionfraud.org.uk/report_fraud. Interestingly, this establishment also looks like it’s a restaurant according to online maps, albeit it seems to have rooms available above. I recently filled out a form for car insurance on Confused.com, so I wouldn't be surprised if they managed to access my information from there! The names I’ve encountered include: - Umar Kayami or Omar Kiani - Daniel Ahmed - Steve Bryden - Sameer "EVERYONE, DO PLEASE NOTIFY YOUR LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT ABOUT THIS MATTER SO THESE FRAUDULENT OPERATIONS FACE CONSEQUENCES!!" Make it a point to check out www.consumerdirect.gov.uk to report these scams before it’s too late. If you’re ever in doubt about the legitimacy of a call, don’t hesitate to contact the Action Fraud team at 0300 123 2040.

Blimey, our mum received a call from the very same bloke just moments after we hung up, insisting there had been some sort of mishap outside his residence. Honestly, it’s clearly a scam, so don’t divulge any personal details. Instead, gather as much intel as you can about the caller - their number, location, you name it - and pass it on to Ofcom. The more complaints they accumulate, the quicker they’ll spring into action.

I received a call from individuals who claimed they were representing a UK claims company, mentioning that there had been a claim associated with my name within the past three years. However, they refused to provide any further information, citing data protection regulations! They left a message instructing me to return the call to a Steve Bryden at a number that turns out to be invalid. Quite the bother, I must say!

We received a message that was exactly the same. The person identifying himself as Jack Samuel, associated with UK Claims, reached out. When we tried calling back on the number provided, it was a no-go. The whole situation felt rather suspicious, especially when we inquired about which accident in the past three years, the specific road, the date, and the involved parties. She was quite evasive, citing data protection as her reason for withholding details. She mentioned that she'd go off to obtain the information and promised to get back to me.
