10 yearsThere’s this company called Appliance Serve from East Sussex who called me out of the blue. They wanted to sell a warranty for my Hotpoint washing machine, claiming it had run out of its guarantee. Thing is, the machine's been going for around 15 years! And it’s still doing fine. The caller was quite polite, gave his name and a callback number but was definitely pushing for a sale. I was pretty surprised because I thought cold calling was banned nowadays.
