I've been receiving repeated calls from this number lately. Each time, they leave a voicemail claiming to be from OVO, stating that my smart meter has ceased transmitting readings. While I am indeed a customer of OVO, I don’t possess a smart meter, which has left me quite puzzled about the entire situation.

They proposed sending someone over to inspect it, but insisted on verifying all our personal details first. We found this quite suspicious, especially since they mentioned the call was coming from South Africa! Naturally, we opted not to confirm any information.
