We're absolutely fed up with these callers. Since we work during the night, it's beyond frustrating to have them ring us up at all hours, particularly at dinner time. I received a call from someone claiming to be a representative of BT. The conversation went like this: Them: "Hello, this is [name] calling on behalf of BT. May I speak to Mr [Householder], please?" To which I responded: "Could you enlighten me about the purpose of your call?" Then they asked if I was Mr [Householder] and I reiterated, "Can I know the nature of the call?" There was a brief moment of silence, and they abruptly hung up without providing any information. Quite bewildering, I must say!

I'm signed up with the Telephone Preference Service and also have BT's privacy option at home, which should mean I’m not supposed to receive any marketing calls. I just received a rather peculiar call that lasted a whole twenty minutes without a peep! From what I gather, it seems to be from a company called Two Touch, who are apparently acting on behalf of BT. When I tried ringing the number back, I was greeted by a pre-recorded message suggesting I contact BT at 0800 028 2272 if I wish to have my details removed from their database. Quite strange, isn't it? Seems like the Telephone Preference Service isn't quite cutting it anymore. Just to clarify, we only have the basic line rental, nothing more!

She introduced herself and mentioned she was calling on behalf of BT, claiming we were eligible for a variety of freebies (which, to be honest, I'm fairly certain we already receive). The moment she asked us to confirm our names, we decided to terminate the conversation. It struck us as odd because she didn't address us as Mrs . . and BT surely has our details on file. Throughout the call, there was a peculiar beeping sound. Honestly, what on earth are these callers hoping to achieve with such tactics?

I’ve been plagued by constant calls from this number. I contacted BT via their 0800 028 2272 helpline, and after much apologies from their side, they assured me that these annoyances would cease forthwith. Honestly, though, I’m skeptical; my guess is we’ll continue to receive these unwanted interruptions. I responded, "If you were truly BT, you would know the exact duration of our line." She parroted back, "That’s precisely what we mentioned. You’ve had your BT line for quite a while." Undeterred, I repeated my statement, only for her to abruptly hang up. And thus, yet another one bites the dust! 😂
