Received a call this evening from someone inquiring about a Mr or Mrs H. We asked for their identity since only a Mr H resides at our place (I’m not quite Mrs H yet!). I mentioned that Mr H was at work and pressed for the caller's name again, only to be told that they would call back when he’s free. I reiterated my request for their name, yet they abruptly hung up on me! Quite frustrating, if you ask me.

I can confirm that the number belongs to EDF Energy, who were aiming to persuade you to enrol in their Direct Debit scheme. If you navigate through their menu options, it does state that you have the ability to select option 1 and opt-out yourself via their call directory.

To our surprise, EDF informed us that these callers haven't even been given our mobile number, and surprisingly, our gas service isn't even linked to them! It all smells quite fishy to us, and we're convinced it's nothing short of a scam!
