08004046217 Summary (Read all comments)
Phone number โ๏ธ 08004046217 ๐ is reported as a likely scam involving letters claiming to be from Aviva about lost contact regarding old policies. The letters look faded and unconvincing, with phone numbers and company details that donโt match official Aviva information. People with genuine policies have found these communications suspicious, as they ask for personal info and reference irrelevant or outdated policy details. Many feel the whole thing reeks of fraud, especially since searching the given phone number doesnโt connect to Avivaโs official site. Users strongly advise against responding or sharing sensitive data, noting the clever use of real past policy info to appear authentic. This appears to be an attempt to trick former customers into unsolicited contact.
Reports on phone number 08004046217
9 yearsI’ve received two correspondences from ‘Aviva’ stating they’ve seemingly lost contact with me. After the initial letter, I took the initiative to drop them an email and referenced the code provided in their correspondence. Their response was a tad intrusive, asking for my National Insurance number, complete address, date of birth, policy number, and the name of the policy. Honestly, if they can’t track me down with just the reference code, I’d rather they left me out of it entirely. Interestingly enough, I did have a policy with Norwich Union back in the day (2009 to be precise), which does lend an air of credibility to their claims. However, I’d long since switched my policy elsewhere. I chose to pass on their email response, which undoubtedly led to the second letter arriving. The letter appeared quite faded, and there’s just an unsettling vibe about it that feels off. A quick search of the phone number printed on the letter led me to this site, and it's quite the red flag. Surely, a legitimate number would link back to the proper Aviva website, wouldn't it? This whole situation screams scam!AvivaNational InsuranceNorwich Union9 yearsI recently received a letter that claimed to be from Aviva, stating they had lost contact with me but had managed to locate my address and were requesting that I give them a ring to update my records, including any policy numbers I might possess. The letter was quite convincing, particularly as I’ve moved house in the last year and I indeed hold a policy with Aviva. Nevertheless, something felt amiss - the letter bizarrely mentioned nearly every other life insurance, investment, or retirement provider as being affiliated with Aviva. I took out an old correspondence from Aviva for comparison. The document had all the hallmarks of being legitimate but was notably faded, and to make matters worse, the registered company number did not match, nor did the contact number. I refrained from making that call, as it clearly reeked of a scam. I plan to alert Aviva about this incident. I trust my experience might be of use to others.AvivaSubmit Your Own Report (0800 404 6217)
