The chap informed me that there would be a fixed charge of £125 plus VAT for technical assistance. He spent an age on my laptop before finally mentioning that I required Windows 10 Pro to resolve my issue. I ended up forking out £2.99 plus VAT for a transferable package. In the end, I was left £504 out of pocket. My credit card statement listed AAR-SUN.COM as the recipient of the transaction. I've tried reaching out to them, but there's been no response. Kaspersky clarified that they would never request payment over the phone. To add to the oddity, this so-called technician seemed to be working from home, with a child’s voice audible in the background.
