I've had calls from 08003689163 a few times now, with someone pretending to be from HMRC warning me about being arrested for tax evasion. I've blocked the number, but then different mobiles have been ringing, with people saying they're Linda White or some bloke. It's really annoying and honestly quite stressful. I'm eight months pregnant and this constant harassment is the last thing I need. I know it's all a con, but I feel sorry for older folks who might get genuinely scared by these threats. It's shameful behaviour, and I just hope they get stopped soon.

Got a voicemail from some robot saying it’s Linda White from HMRC. It told me to ring back on 0800 368 9163 and warned me not to ignore it or I’d get a legal warrant for arrest. Pretty obvious scam if you ask me.

I just got a call saying there's a warrant out for me over some unpaid taxes - total rubbish! Honestly, these scammers should be stopped with today's technology, it should be easy to just block their numbers. Seriously, if you get a ring and they’re asking for your info but you didn’t call them first, don’t share anything with them. Stay safe!

I got a call from 0800 368 9163 and it was some automated message claiming I had a warrant out for not paying taxes. Obviously, I know that’s rubbish since my taxes are handled straight from my job via PAYE, but I can easily understand how some folks might panic hearing that.

Got a call from someone claiming to be Linda White at HMRC, saying there’s been a complaint about me regarding tax evasion and fraud. She kept telling me to ring back on some 0800 number, repeating it a couple of times. I always pay my taxes on time so I knew it had to be a scam, but still, it’s really upsetting. Receiving calls like that can make you panic and start thinking about every little thing you’ve done wrong in your tax returns, worrying about possible court cases and all that. Big thanks to others here who’ve said it’s a scam - really helped put my mind at ease!

I got a message from 08003689163 but didn't really get what it was about. I never pick up calls from numbers I don't recognise, only waiting on a specific call today.

I got a voicemail saying it was from HMRC and they wanted me to ring them straight away. When I called back, I was informed there's supposedly an ongoing case in the Crown Court about me and tax evasion. They asked me for my date of birth and national insurance number, but I said I wasn’t willing to give that info over the phone. The caller just disconnected right away. The person on the other end spoke with a very noticeable American accent.

I missed the call from 08003689163 on 30/06/2020 at around 11.15. A recorded message followed, supposedly from “HMRC” by someone named Linda White. It sounded really dodgy and a bit rude - saying they’d take me to court or have me arrested if I didn’t get back quick. Honestly, not today, Linda! Not falling for that!

Picked up and got one of those robot voices telling me not to miss the call and to ring Linda White at HMRC using the same number. Sounds dodgy to me - doubt HMRC would ring like that. I’m planning to just ignore it and I’d say you should do the same. If it really was from HMRC, they’d send a letter through the post, that’s their usual move, and they don’t stop bugging you when money’s owed!
