I didnt pick up the first call and they called back straight away. The person sounded like they had an asian accent. They never said who they were, just stayed silent then ended the call. I blocked the number after that of course.

I couldn't pick up when the call came through, but after doing a bit of sleuthing on the number, it seems to be linked to O2. I've had a barrage of around ten calls from them recently!

Another day, another con! These chaps ring up, fishing for just enough information to trick your mobile provider into zapping them a legitimate password reset code. They then have the audacity to request that very code under the pretense of “confirming your identity” for some unbelievable offer. Before you know it, you're locked out of your own phone account and they've pulled the wool over your eyes. I’ve had the misfortune of receiving this type of call a handful of times and have taken to tossing them a load of nonsense instead. I enjoy dragging out the conversation with a bit of mumbling and hesitation; it’s a little victory that keeps them busy and helps prevent them from duping someone unsuspecting.

She claimed she was ringing from O2 Mobile. I replied, “Sounds like a scam to me, best not to bother." Next thing I knew, she had cut off the call.

Some bloke said he was from 02 but I thought he was lying, so I just ended the call.

I reckon this might be one of those scam calls.

I just ignore it, it goes on ringing forever.

Totally a scam, kept getting calls claiming to be from O2, and they just wouldn’t stop bugging me even after I asked them to.

Received a call from an Asian chap named Jack Smith, claiming to be from O2 and offering a half-price deal. However, it seemed a bit dodgy since it actually didn’t come from O2 at all, despite the fact they rang from an 0800 number. This is surely a scam; steer clear and don’t share any personal information with them!

Something about O2 trying to sell me a deal (yeah, right) - I just told them I’m not with O2 and ended the call.

Totally a rip off!

08003685482 is definitely a scam! I was dealing with a bloke on the line who had an accent that was quite baffling at first. After his persistent attempts, the pitch boiled down to this: EE offering some ridiculous £30 monthly deal for a shiny new iPhone 14, along with limitless calls, texts, and complimentary insurance. What a joke! Normally, these fraudsters don’t get a word in edgewise, but since I was waiting for my 17-year-old to finish her shower, I had a bit of time on my hands. This chap was adamant he wasn’t a scammer! Instead of handing over my personal information (which he was rather pushy about), I decided to turn the tables and asked him for his full name, bank details, date of birth - you know, the usual. Turns out he’s based in Pakistan, goes by the name Ali, and insists he’s paid in cash every month. Seriously, does EE really pay its staff under the table like that? He was itching to send me a confirmation email, but let’s be honest, I didn’t give him anything other than a good 13 minutes worth of conversation trying to set him straight. Sadly, I think my advice fell on completely uninterested ears, and before long he’ll be off to ensnare another unsuspecting person in the UK. I’m sorry everyone, I genuinely tried! (I've reported this to Action Fraud, by the way.)

Just got a call from one of those #### annoying people, didn’t pick up and slapped a block on it straight away!

Was a bit thrown off ‘cause it showed up as 0800 and my phone didn’t flag it as spam. A lady with a strong accent said she was calling from O2. The line was really dodgy and she just hung up straight away when I said I wasn’t interested.

I was convinced these calls were dodgy, considering how persistent they were. I never pick up calls from unfamiliar numbers, but I figured I should do a bit of digging to see if I was being overly wary. Turns out, I wasn't being paranoid after all!

They rang me but I didn’t pick up, and they didn’t bother leaving a voicemail.

Got a call from a call centre claiming they were from EE but sounded fishy.

Got calls three times from someone saying they were from EE, claiming there was some special discount promo. Every time it was an Indian lady on the phone. I tried to cut in and say I wasn’t interested but she just kept going, so in the end I hung up and blocked the number.

I’ve got a strong inkling that this O2 business is a bit dodgy! If you're after a bargain, I reckon it’s best to ring them up directly yourself.

I received a call from someone claiming to be from EE, offering me an iPhone for just £34 a month. When I mentioned that I was already tied into a contract with them, the chap abruptly ended the conversation. Quite cheeky, really!

This is definitely a scam. They ring up saying they're after a phone that was wrongly delivered to you. But if you hand it over, they end up selling it and you get stuck paying for it. So, DO NOT HAND OVER THE PHONE. Instead, contact the company the phone belongs to (we dealt with O2) and they'll blacklist the device and have their fraud department sort things out.

Some guy ringed saying he was from EE. I told him I dont use EE at all, and he just hung up. Then, a couple of minutes later, he called again asking what network I was with, saying they had an offer for me... So I ended the call and blocked the number.

I keep receiving calls from this number, claiming to provide me with a discount on my monthly bills.

They’ve rung me a couple times now, I usually don’t pick up without checking here first. Don’t really know if they’re legit since I just renewed my contract with EE. I’m pretty happy with my current deal anyway, so probably won’t be talking to them any more.

Got two calls right after each other, before I could even block the number. They said they were from EE, so I told them to take my number off their list.

This number called me two times really quick. I couldn’t pick up cos I was gettin my haircut. They didn’t leave any message. I checked here to see if it was a scam. Seems like it was, so I’ll put it on my blocked list now.

Received a call from a number I didn't recognise, but there was no detail given. Quite mysterious!

Received several calls from this number earlier while I was on the road. I decided to give it a miss, thinking if it was urgent they’d drop a voicemail. But lo and behold, nothing came through - I wouldn’t trust it, seems like a dodgy nuisance best avoided!

I had a rather dodgy phone call earlier from a woman purporting to be from EE, trying to sell me an iPhone contract. I'm convinced it's a scam, especially since I received this call just hours after blocking another number where the same woman tried to push the same deal. Definitely not falling for that again!

Some woman with an Indian accent said she was calling from EE and was offering a half price deal. I honestly struggled to get what she was saying and ended up just hanging up.

I received a call from someone claiming to be from EE, promising an unbeatable offer on a contract that would surpass my existing one. When I mentioned that I was already a customer with them, they abruptly ended the call. Clearly, it was a con.

Received a call from a woman touting a deal aimed at EE customers. The thing is, I’m not one of them! When I inquired about how she got my number, she simply ended the call. Very puzzling!

I received a call earlier today from a woman claiming to be with EE, saying I could get a 15% discount on my contract. I politely declined the offer, and before long, we both ended the conversation.

Got a call from 01883 a few days back, showing as Colt Tech in Caterham. Then they called back once and a third time from an 0800 number also saying it was Colt. Like some others have pointed out - they were trying to sell some EE discount stuff. Don’t even have EE myself.

I received a call from a chap who was just rambling nonsense!
