Got a ring from this number but I didn’t pick up and there was no voicemail left. So I called back with my number hidden, and this woman with an Indian accent asked for my PayPal info. I got a call from PayPal when I was trying to sign in online but didn't get the usual 4 digit security code text. Instead, I chose to have the code read out to me via an automated phone call. The call only lasted around 15 seconds. If you happen to get this kind of call without asking for it, I’d be worried that someone might be trying to access your PayPal account. I received a call from this number claiming that someone was attempting to add a new phone number to my Microsoft account. They instructed me to press 1 if I didn't recognise the action, and then they requested a verification code which they said they would send. After that, out of curiosity, I pressed a few random buttons, and eerily, the same sequence unfolded! Upon doing a bit of digging about PayPal, I discovered that there’s a risk of fraud associated with disclosing one-time passcodes and the like. It's quite alarming! I urge everyone to be vigilant and spread the word-let’s protect our hard-earned cash from these deceitful schemes!

I've been getting quite a few calls from this particular number, and each time I pick up, they just end the call without a word. I've finally decided to block it on my phone to stop the annoyance.

Got a call here in the UK at about 7:45pm on a Saturday. It was an automated voice claiming to be Microsoft, telling me someone tried to change my password. They said press 1 if it wasnt me, or just hang up if it was. I just hung up, but then got called back twice more! Total scam for sure!!

I didnt pick up but before the call I got a couple of emails from Paypal asking to verify my account, so I reckon someone might be trying to break into it.

Got a missed call from this number around half past 11 at night. Honestly, not impressed at all being jolted awake like that! There’s no proper company that’d ring or use an auto dialler that late, so I’m pretty sure it’s just a dodgy scam.

Its meant to confirm your PayPal without needing texts. If its real, they give you a code and you enter it on the site to prove your account is yours.

I actually rang this number today after I logged into my Paypal account on the official site and found the number to get support. This is definitely an official Paypal line, cos when I called, they didn’t ask for any info, which they could get from my phone number anyway. The lady who answered was really nice and helped me fix my issue. If this was a scam, they wouldn’t have known anything about my account.

Got a missed call from this number on 28/06/23, it showed up as Circuit Self Service Laundrette which ive never heard of before. When i looked up the number, it said PayPal. Didnt ring back but thought I’d share this info.

I got a call from a very close number and thought I'd better check by logging into my PayPal account properly. Then I reached out to PayPal customer support using the app. They confirmed that 0800 358 7911 is indeed one of their numbers they use to call customers. So it should be legit. If you’re unsure, always get in touch with customer services after logging into your account rather than calling back straight away. It’s much safer to verify first, don’t just ring back a missed call without checking somehow.

This number called me on behalf of Paypal. I was trying to buy something online and needed to confirm my account. I picked the option for Paypal to ring me up. It’s an automated call, no real person on the line. They just ask for the unique code Paypal sent to you, to check it’s really you using the account. If you weren’t expecting this call, it might mean someone else is trying to access your Paypal, so you should probably update your password just in case.

On the 1st of June, I got a couple of calls from the number 08003587911, but I chose not to pick up. Oddly enough, on Sunday the 4th, my phone registered two calls to that very number at 2:45 PM, which I definitely did not make. Just a heads-up to everyone - stay vigilant and steer clear of potential scams!

Yeah, it’s definitely PayPal. They use an automated 2-step verification for online buys. If you’re getting calls out of the blue from them, likely someones put your number in by mistake.
