Got an email saying there was some odd stuff going on with my account and it had a phone number to ring.

Just got a weird PayPal request for £599.99 with a note saying "ALERT FROM ROBERT RAMIREZ: FRAUDULENT CHARGE 599.99 GBP TAKEN FROM YOUR ACCOUNT CONTACT US NOW @+44-800-358-5318". Tried looking for how to report this on PayPal but they dont seem to have an option for scammy money requests. Very dodgy!

0800-358-5318 is definitely a scam! They claim to be from PayPal’s free helpline but they're actually a call centre based in India. They ask for your card info, so don’t ever give them any details. They try to trick you by saying someone’s trying to use your PayPal account and all the cards linked to it, just to sound real. But trust me, they’re not legit at all. Halifax Fraud team told me straight up it’s a scam. Stay clear!

I didnt get any call but recived an email sayin £1199.79 has been taken from my paypal for an iphone 14 pro max. It said if I didnt make the purchase to ring this number +44-800-358-5318 right away. Sounds like a scam to me so I came here to check. Make sure you dont approve any payments and report this to PayPal.

Got a call from this number and the voicemail sounded really scary, warning me about serious legal trouble if I didn’t ring them back.

I got called from this number pretending to be Paypal, but it was clearly a scam. Best to just ignore and not reply.

Got two calls missed yesterday from this number, then one more today which I actually picked up and they just ended the call straight away. Def gonna block this number now.
