Gave us a bell twice, but when we answered, all we got was silence. The first time, I reckon they weren’t ready for our cheeky hellos, which might’ve sent them giggling, and then they just cut off. Absolutely wouldn’t bother with these folks again. I used to be with Vodafone, but now I’m with Virgin after switching my number when I relocated.

What’s the point in ringing us only to play a snippet of music for a couple of seconds before abruptly disconnecting? It’s rather baffling, isn’t it?

I recently received a call from this number, which I usually wouldn't bother answering. However, I'm currently expecting a delivery of some furniture, so I thought it might be related. Turns out, it was just someone trying to rope me into a mobile phone contract with the "3" network. I told them rather politely that we already have a contract and had no interest in switching. Thankfully, they didn’t push the matter and ended the conversation without any fuss.

The moment we answered, it was completely silent on the other end!

We've had these callers buzzing our phone for the past few days. We answered once, and now it's becoming rather bothersome as they seem to ring us nearly every single day.

We started receiving calls from this lot a handful of days back. We answered straight away, only to find it quite vexing, as they seem to be dialling our number almost daily.

I keep getting calls from this number and honestly, I’m at my wit's end with it, just like many others seem to be. I decided to give them a ring back and firmly told them to stop contacting my phone, as it’s a business line and I can’t be bothered with pointless calls. I mentioned that if the incessant ringing doesn’t cease, I’d have to report them to the local authorities for harassment. Let’s see if that does the trick!

I’ve received yet another ridiculous call from one of those “3” ring centres, likely from somewhere like India or China - take your pick! As this was just a complimentary ring for me, I think I might just cheekily ring them back (couldn't forget to use 141 first, of course). Let's see how they like it!

I'm absolutely fed up with these incessant 0800 sales calls that keep bothering us on our mobile! It feels like we’re fielding these annoying calls multiple times a day, and they’re just wasting our precious time. Is there someone we can lodge a complaint with to put an end to this relentless nuisance?
11 years
Absolutely, this number has been an utter nuisance! The calls started just a couple of days back, and now it seems they're intensifying, coming through once a day during daylight hours. To make matters worse, they're encroaching into the evening too. We’ve made it a point not to answer unfamiliar numbers, but this relentless barrage is really getting on my nerves. Is there anyone out there who can suggest how to effectively block these pesky cold calls? I’d greatly appreciate any tips!

We've been receiving calls from this number every single day for a month now, and tonight they decided to give us another ring-making it twice in one day! I'm curious if anyone has actually had a conversation with these callers. Is it wise to respond, or could this be one of those dodgy numbers that hits you with charges the moment you pick up? Does anyone know of a place where I can lodge a report to properly trace who’s behind this?

Absolutely a mirror image of what others have experienced. We picked up the phone when they rang, but all we encountered was silence, then they hung up after just three seconds. Now, it seems they're bombarding us with calls! It's like clockwork-twice a day, without fail. We’ve only answered that one time and now they're relentless!

We dialled the number again and eventually managed to get through to someone regarding our complaint. This lot had given us a national rate number, but we were not keen on paying just to voice our concerns. In the end, they connected us with customer services, but unfortunately, they didn’t have the answers we needed. Thankfully, we were able to escalate things to a manager who promptly sorted out our number from their records and registered us with the Telephone Preference Service. It required a fair bit of tenacity on our part, but at last, we achieved our goal.

This number called us twice, but hung up as soon as I answered. The first time, I suspect our cheeky "hello" in response to the annoying ring tickled their funny bone, prompting them to drop the line. I can confidently say I'll never consider using 3. I used to be with Vodafone but have now switched to Virgin, and I moved my number over the moment I made the change.

I've been really bothered by calls from the number 0800 358 4831. It’s quite frustrating that T-Mobile seems unable to block calls from this number on their network. What’s the deal with that?

Why bother ringing us up only to play a tune for a couple of minutes before cutting off? It's rather peculiar, isn’t it?

They keep calling us around twice daily, and we haven’t picked up even once. It’s quite vexing, to say the least!

This number seems to be rather peculiar. After doing a bit of digging, we stumbled across this website. We've never picked up whenever these folks ring us, yet they persist in calling us a minimum of twice daily. It's truly vexing! We're reluctant to answer the phone, as we fear they'll record our details in their database and potentially share it with other businesses.

I’ve been getting those pesky calls too! Honestly, the best tactic is to pick up each one of those annoying calls. Don’t utter a word when you answer-just hang up right away! This way, they end up footing the bill for the call-good on them! Let’s make them feel the pinch!

Are these individuals using numbers registered under various account holders? I'm currently with Orange and am inclined to heed the suggestion of “make them pay”. It's rather surprising, as you’d typically expect a sales company to keep their number under wraps. If I was to return their call, I'd likely incur charges for that number; perhaps these folks are deliberately revealing their identity to entice me into calling them back? Quite the shady practice, if you ask me!
