I received a rather peculiar phone call from someone in the Philippines, but they were rather tight-lipped about the organisation they represented, insisting that I disclose my personal details first. To top it off, they sent me a strange white card that lacked any identifying information or return details, simply instructing me to reach out regarding an 'urgent issue.' The card urged me to ring this number regarding something quite vital. However, when I called, it linked me up with a call centre in the Philippines, where the representatives insisted they were from Bay Corp but refused to provide any verification of their identity. What a right laugh these characters are! They claim to be from Baycorp in the Philippines, whilst we’re down here in New Zealand. We had a chat with a chap named Josh, yet he’s reluctant to divulge his surname. His reasoning for lacking a proper letterhead? Apparently, it’s all about protecting personal details. Honestly, it’s just absurd! Additionally, I’d like to put it out there for anyone who encounters these clowns - it’s nothing more than a scam!

I received a message via Telegram concerning a relative, so I decided to ring this number. However, the person who picked up wouldn’t shed any light on what their company or enterprise is. All they were willing to share was the brief name BCS??????. They then claimed that the Privacy Act barred them from disclosing any additional information. We explained that our intention wasn’t to confront the reason these folks were reaching out, but rather to ascertain who they actually are. It’s now become clear to us that they are associated with Bay Corp.
