This number keeps calling me non stop, and each time I answer, they just hang up straight away. I’ve had enough now and decided to block it so they won’t bother me anymore.

So, I saw an ad on Facebook about some free Chromecast with these bulbs or whatever, and it was from an electricity company. Then this number calls me, but I didn’t pick up. Later on, about an hour after, I got a text saying ‘we tried to get in touch with you’. Looked up the number and it was the same one that called. Bit odd!

I got a call earlier from someone saying they were from some sort of call blocking company’s accounts team. They said if I didn’t sort out the payment, they’d pass my info on to the “credit bureau.” When I asked for their full contact info so I could report them to trading standards, they just cut me off. Now I’m left hanging, just gotta see what happens next.

On 28/07/20 I got calls from 08003355244 at least four different times in the past few months, nearly always about boiler insurance. One time, the same number said they were from Call Prevention Service and claimed I'd signed up for their cover two years ago. I told them straight I never agreed to any cover with them, then they started threatening me with debt collectors if I didn't pay a so called final bill.

Got a call from someone claiming to be Homeserve, saying I used to have boiler cover with them but cancelled early and now owe cash. They even rattled off the last four numbers of one of my bank accounts and the sort code, which made me suspicious straight away. I never had any boiler cover with them anyway. I rang Homeserve customer service myself and they confirmed they’re not doing any home visits since everyone’s working remotely. The dodgy calls keep coming though, it’s really annoying.

Just got a call over here from this number, and it was some dodgy bloke trying to get my mate to renew a contract she doesn’t even have with them. Got a call earlier from someone claiming to be from Homeservices, trying to lower the cost of my boiler cover. They said they needed to verify my card details to change the direct debit, already had my address and some digits of my card. When I said I wouldn’t share card info over the phone and asked them to send anything in writing, they got quite irritable and accused me of making things difficult. My actual cover with Homeserve isn’t even due for renewal until November. Eventually, they just hung up on me. Definitely a dodgy call, watch out.

I’ve dealt with calls from this number before and it’s pretty dodgy. Scary thing is, they already knew my name, where I live, which bank I’m with, and even my account info. Back in February 2020, even after telling them I didn’t want any drain cover service, they still managed to withdraw £45 from my account. Luckily my bank sorted it out and gave me the money back. Now, they’ve come back trying to charge me £150 for boiler cover. I’ve let my bank know, so fingers crossed nothing else happens. Just have to watch this space now.

He told her I wasn’t home and asked her to ring back later. When I finally got back and dialled the number, it went straight to a Tesco Mobile voicemail, which is odd for a so-called freephone number. Something about it felt off.

Got a call from Maria claiming to be from Home Services London. She was asking for someone who’s never actually lived here. I asked to talk to a supervisor to make sure my number gets removed from their list. She said she’d sort it out. Not holding my breath though! We’ve got a call blocker and yet this number keeps sneaking through. Checked my phone log, and this number has rung almost daily for the past two weeks. I’ve finally blocked it now.

I got a call on my home phone, and my husband, who’s got a disability, picked up. The woman on the line said her name was Lynn and was asking for me specifically. My husband reckoned she sounded like she might be Chinese. He explained I was out working and suggested she try again another time. Later, when I returned, I rang the number back and it went straight to some Tesco Mobile voicemail, which seemed a bit strange for what was meant to be a freephone number.
