Got a call from a bloke with an Indian accent claiming he was with some call blocking firm. When I asked for his name, he said Mike. He said he was working for a company called TPS and wanted me to verify my postcode and full name. I said no, and then he tried to insist it was a free service and that I just needed to confirm my details. At one point he even asked for the previous tenant's name and address, which I didn’t feel comfortable sharing. I told him I wasn’t confirming anything since I wasn’t sure if he was legit and some of the info he gave me didn’t add up. When I asked where he got my number from, he just hung up. Then, after about five minutes, he had the nerve to ring me again, but I ignored it.

Today I got a call from 030816, a guy talking with an Indian accent claiming he was from the Telephone Preference Management Service. He told me I was getting nuisance calls because my contract with them had run out and wasn’t renewed since my credit card on file had expired. Then he asked if he could check my card details. I said it wasn't a good time right now but if he gave me his personal phone number, I’d call back later after dinner to sort it out. Instead of replying, he just ended the call on me.

I got a call from some firm claiming to be the TPS, but it felt dodgy. They already had my name and address, and asked me to confirm my bank or credit card details - even though my card had expired. It was quite unsettling that they knew so much about me. Obviously, I refused to give any more info or pay them anything to supposedly keep blocking spam calls. The funny part is, their call was actually the only annoying one I’ve had in ages!
