Ich werde nun schon seit vier Wochen von derselben Telefonnummer belästigt. Nachdem meine alte Nummer damals schon genug von solchen Anrufen abbekommen hatte, habe ich 2008 die Telekom um eine neue Nummer gebeten - natürlich gegen Bezahlung. Ich hatte gehofft, dadurch Ruhe vor solchen Störungen zu haben, doch nun scheint sogar die Telekom selbst mir auf die Nerven zu gehen. Meine neue Nummer ist in keinem Verzeichnis zu finden, und als ich den Wechsel beantragte, nannte ich genau diesen Grund: Ständige Anrufe von Etwas, was ich nicht möchte. Jetzt überlege ich ernsthaft, ob ich meine entstandenen Ausgaben zurückverlangen sollte.

I reckon that all similarly named companies or brand labels ought to be banned. It's rather silly, isn't it? Imagine being on the phone and feeling quite daft while trying to spell out a name, only to find you've been misled. Or worse still, tarnishing the reputation of a well-known firm due to a mix-up. It’s really a recipe for confusion, if you ask me!

Es scheint, dass die lästige Telekom (mit C!) ihren Sitz in Braunschweig hat. Echt unangenehm!

So, it appears that the amiable chap from the telecom company, or at least in his view, might not have been outright dishonest. Earlier today, I noticed the 0800 number flashing on my screen; however, it seems that it was merely left as a toll-free callback number for me. The actual call originated from the number 0531/120440… located in Braunschweig.

Utterly infuriating! The chap on the line insisted that I couldn’t possibly have received calls from this number, yet it’s been happening more frequently over the past few weeks. It’s driving me absolutely bonkers!

Selbstverständlich sollte man ganz oben im Briefkopf die eigene Adresse sowie die Kundennummer vermerken.

Da die 800er-Zahlen gratis sind, habe ich kurzerhand zum Hörer gegriffen und zurückgerufen. Es stellte sich heraus, dass die Telekom am Apparat war und mir Informationen zu einer neuen Preisstruktur geben wollte. (22. Mai 2009)
