A woman showed up saying she was from BT and told me to do a speed test online. I did, and then she asked for my phone number, mums name, my first car and kept asking what my plans were for today. I thought she was legit but my dad was skeptical. We ignored her calls afterwards and told her to leave because my dad had a bad feeling. He asked for my name, then asked for my date of birth, which made me tell him I’d ring BT myself. He was quite polite, talked about my direct debit too. Thing is, his English wasn’t great.
