Total scam alert! Got a call and didn’t pick up, then they rang back immediately. Whatever you do, don’t hit 1 or any other button - just hang up. I wasn’t careful and pressed 1, then moments later my app pinged me that there was some dodgy access to my account from Norfolk, which is nowhere near where I’m based. Luckily, I got into my account quick, booted everyone off and changed my password straight away.

Complete timewasters! There’s a fresh scam going around pretending to be from Amazon, with the same lot calling from three separate numbers. Got calls from this number about 15 times over less than 12 minutes. Each time, an automated voice claimed to be from Amazon's fraud team, saying something like "Hello _ _ this is the Amazon fraud hotline. After looking it up, it's clear this is just a scam so best not to respond or press anything.

Be careful, this is definitely a phishing trick. Don’t put in the code they ask for! They already have your password, and they just wanna mess with your account by changing it and taking over your Amazon profile. Best bet is to punch in a wrong code a few times so it locks them out. After that, change your password right away and get in touch with Amazon to sort it out.

Steer clear of Amazon completely, it's a nightmare. Either it's a total con or their delivery guys are nicking your parcels. I've heard from a few mates who've had the same problem. The driver shows up on the GPS so it looks like the delivery’s done, but then they flog your stuff on eBay. It's happening everywhere, just look it up online. Honestly, I wouldn't touch Amazon with a barge pole.

This number is linked to Amazon. I came across it while searching on Google to speak to someone about returning a product. The department I reached was based abroad (India), and the lady I chatted with was quite clear, even if she struggled a bit with my London accent, so I had to slow down my speech. I was a bit wary about sharing personal info like my name, billing address, and email at first, but after that she confirmed my order details and the price I paid, sorted my refund and return. On top of that, I've been getting scam calls pretending to be from BT tech support for over a year now. I block each one as it comes through. The frustrating thing is, the callers always use different numbers, so it’s really hard for anyone to track them down. Makes sorting this mess out a proper challenge.

Never share any details on calls you didn’t make yourself, even if the call sounds official. Scammers can fake your caller ID to make it look like it’s your bank or credit card company. If you’re unsure it’s genuine, ask if you can call them back. Usually, if it’s a scam, they’ll try hard to keep you talking instead of letting you hang up.
