I was quite surprised by such a late call from an 0800 number, but I thought I'd take the chance and answer it. After the call, I decided to look up the number on Google to find out who it was and why they had reached out to me, especially since I'm currently using a Vodafone SIM. Thankfully, I did some digging and discovered that it’s linked to a concerning PayPal scam involving freephone numbers. I've also jotted down other numbers that seem to be part of similar scams. It appears that they’re all related to those pesky 0800 freephone frauds. I strongly advise against responding to these calls as they could potentially jeopardise your bank or PayPal account.
