Late last night, I got a call from 08002605983 on my old phone with my old 02 number. I almost didn’t pick up - thought it was odd an 0800 number would call so late. But I did answer and then decided to Google the number to see who was ringing me, especially since I now use a Vodafone SIM on this phone. Turns out, its a scam pretending to be from PayPal trying to cheat you. I also looked up the other 0800 numbers they use, and they're all part of the same kind of scam. So, don't ever pick up these calls - they’re mostly after your bank or PayPal info. Stay safe out there! Cheers, Toni Horton

Got a message about a PayPal payment saying "1299.76 GDP has been taken from your account... if this wasnt you call +44-800-260-5983 to stop the payment and get your money back." Since it was just a request, no cash actually left my account.

I ignored a call I didn’t want to take, they didn’t leave any voicemail or anything.

Scammers for sure! They attempted to nab my PayPal info and cash. I really recommend blocking this number as it’s definitely being used to trick folks!
