It’s incredibly vexing, especially since we're signed up with the Telephone Preference Service. It certainly appears that either Pet Plan, Petlog, or perhaps even both, have shared our details, despite opting out when we bought their services. How frustrating!

We finally answered that call one day and discovered it was from Pet Plan. We visited their website to request a pet insurance quote, clearly stating we were just after an estimate. Gave them a bell earlier today and returned the call, only to be met with a recorded message that was utterly pointless, finishing with "You might as well hang up now." Rang the number 0800 258 5652 later in the day, around 5:15 on Friday, and all we got was a curt announcement saying, “Our opening hours are nine till five.” It’s evident these folks don't bother to look at their records, as I'm on the TPS list. Expecting to lodge a complaint about this breach of TPS regulations on Tuesday! :)

Gave them a ring earlier today and decided to return the call, only to be greeted by an automated message that goes round in circles, finishing with "You may hang up now." We tried again later at 17:15 on Friday, but all we got was a rather abrupt message saying, "Our opening hours are 9 to 5." It's evident these folks don't bother with their records, especially since I'm on the TPS list. A formal complaint about this TPS infringement will definitely be lodged on Tuesday! :)

Today, we received two phone calls from 08002585686. The initial call ended abruptly before we could answer, and on the second attempt, it turned out to be Petlog. However, it's rather odd because Petlog, as arranged by the Kennel Club, typically doesn't contact us from that number, especially when we're reaching out for information regarding a new service. We were hoping to learn more but didn't get the chance. We suggested they send us an email since they already have our address on file. One can't help but wonder if a staff member from Petlog has inadvertently leaked our information to a competing firm?

Tried ringing the number back, but it turns out they use an auto-dialler system. When the call centre staff aren’t ready to take the call, it just keeps dialling anyway, which is rather frustrating. They did offer an apology for the inconvenience, but we made it quite clear that pestering folks two or three times a day with silent calls isn’t the best way to win business; it’s bound to end in complaints. Plus, we are registered with the Telephone Preference Service and have even hired a firm that focuses on getting overseas companies to remove our details from their lists. It seems some of these companies simply disregard that entirely.
