5 yearsI got a call supposedly from the Dept for Work and Pensions saying there was dodgy activity on my National Insurance number. When I picked up, an automated voice came on saying there might be fraud and to press 1 to talk to someone. I knew it was a scam, so I pressed 1 just to see what would happen. The moment I mentioned it sounded fishy, the person hung up straight away. Official govt numbers usually start with 0800 731, not 252 like this one did.Department for Work and PensionsNational InsuranceSubmit Your Own Report (0800 252 0269)
