They rang me a couple of times but I didn't pick up either time. I looked it up here and it seems like it might be a scam or annoying calls. So, I've blocked the number now. You might wanna consider blocking it too.

Just got a call from an 0800 number, figured it might be something important. Turns out, not at all - told them where to shove it, hung up and blocked the number straight away. I'm in Belfast.

Anycall I dont recongnize goes straight to the optimiser on my mobile. After that, I take a look to see who was tryin to get in touch. Glad I do this, especially reading the stuff shared here. Sometimes the calls keep coming for a bit, but they do stop eventually. I’d suggest gettin the optimiser if its an option for you.

It’s definitely a scam, they just keep calling me nonstop and won’t leave me alone.

08002335500 called me claiming to be from Curry's about my washing machine insurance running out. I never bought anything from there and she spoke so quickly I could hardly get what she was saying. She had a strong Indian accent. She seemed clueless about my actual contract and kept saying she couldn’t find any info and that I needed to identify myself. Honestly, I’d avoid answering this number.

Someone called saying they were just confirming my washing machine insurance was still registered at my address, and they did have the correct details. When i told them it sounded like a scam, the caller got rude and I ended the call. It’s so frustrating cos they keep phoning me, really hoping these calls can be blocked soon.

SCAM ALERT! Make sure to report any scam calls or messages straight to the police fraud system. Just search ‘action fraud’ and visit the ‘police.uk’ website. Find the ‘report phishing attempt’ section and carefully read all the info provided. Then enter the details about the scam, including any links or website addresses. You don’t need to sign up or give personal info unless you’ve actually lost money from the scam. The only way the police can track these scams is if everyone reports them. Don’t ignore these dodgy calls and texts!

Some bloke talking really quick said it was a service check for a Grundig washing machine I supposedly got from Currys. When I told him I don’t have one, he kinda mumbled and ended the call. Sounds dodgy, like they throw out random appliance names to get you on the line.

This bloke rattled on super quick, saying it was a service check for a Grundig washing machine I supposedly got from Currys. The minute I told him I didn’t have that washing machine, he kinda mumbled and then just hung up. Smells like a scam to me, just throwing out random appliance names to get you hooked.

Missed the call and tried to call back (bit silly, I know) but the answerphone said something like "cover up". I was expecting a chat about some books so figured it might be related to that. Tried calling again this morning but it didn’t go through, then I ended up here, should’ve checked this first really. Feels like a phishing call to me, so I’m marking it as harrassing.

I really should have been more careful - this bloke already had my name and address and I sadly ended up confirming it. Then he asked if I still owned a Beko washing machine - I told him I’d got rid of it and he hurried to end the call. Feels like it was some kind of scam, trying to check if my details were correct. Now I’m worried they might use my info for something dodgy.

I received a call about extending the warranty on my washing machine, and frankly, these folks just can’t accept a simple “no.” So, I’ve come up with a rather cheeky plan: I just place the phone down and head off to brew myself a lovely cup of tea. They can ramble away for as long as they like to their own echo! After a good half an hour, I’ll finally decide to hang up. Fingers crossed they’ll take the hint next time!

I've had a rather irritating experience with these calls trying to push washing machine insurance on me. Despite my repeated refusals, they just won't take no for an answer. It's quite absurd really! Eventually, when I politely assert my disinterest, they hang up on me quite abruptly. This has become a frustrating routine, as they seem to ring me multiple times a year. Quite tiresome, to say the least!

Same as before, very polite gentleman ringing again to push me into renewing a warranty for a Bosch washing machine I don't even own. I told 'Holly', who called me yesterday with the exact same offer, to take me off their call list. Guess it’s over her head since I’ve had two calls today. So I repeated the request to the well-spoken chap this time, hoping he might actually do something about it.

Someone called me saying the insurance on my hotpoint washing machine was about to run out, but I’ve never even had one, so no insurance to worry about! Just so you know, the bloke on the phone spoke really politely and had a pretty deep voice, so it’s easy to get tricked into thinking it’s a legit call.

Got a call from someone with a strong Nigerian accent, their English wasn’t great. They tried to sell me an extended warranty for my freezer. The thing is, my freezer’s been 6 years old, and the company’s database got hacked ages ago. I actually found out because I got a letter a few years back saying hackers had gotten hold of my name, address and phone number. This freezer was the only thing listed in that hacked database, which probably explains why the info about the product was way out of date, but my contact details were still correct.

got a call to renew the extended warranty on a bosch washing machine, but i dont even have one! they gave me two choices, one year or three, pay straight away over the phone and they'd send the paperwork later. i told them straight up i dont own a bosch and maybe they were trying to pull a fast one. of course they said no, no scam here. how come these businesses get away with stuff like this?

Someone rang me about an extended warranty for my washing machine, said it had just run out. When I asked what brand it was, they got it wrong. I told them straight up they sounded like scammers. Got a call from 08002335500, some guy claiming the washing machine needed replacing. He mixed up loads of info and then asked for my card details. Didn’t seem to know much at all. The only thing that needs renewing is the poor reputation of that so-called insurer.

Beware of a washing machine insurance con. They try to get your card info but claim they can't send an invoice. They say they'll send an email with a link to a payment site, but they never say who they actually are. Best to avoid them completely.
